It also organizes the annual Guwahati Theatre Festival [4] in collaboration with Ballantine's, Audi, [5] Apollo Hospitals, Ballantine's, Vodafone, Indian Oil, and Hastakshar, which has featured veteran theatre acts by Shabana Azmi, Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Ranvir Shorey, and Kalki Koechlin. In 2013 he joined the theatre group Chingari in Delhi, later moving to Pune to attend the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII).

Bhabendra Nath Saikia was a novelist, short-story writer and film director from Assam, India. He won many literary awards, including Sahitya Academy (1976), and was also recognised with the Padma Shri.

Alcheringa, also known as "Alcher", is the annual cultural festival of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati. The festival was started in 1996 by a group of students of IIT Guwahati. Spread over 3 days and 4 nights, Alcheringa is conducted towards the end of January every year. The 24th edition held from 30 January 2020 to 2 February 2020, witnessing 80 events.

Kadakh is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language black comedy film featuring Ranvir Shorey, Kalki Koechlin, Rajat Kapoor and Cyrus in the prominent roles. The film is set on a night of Deepawali celebration when a Mumbai based couple organise a party at their home only to face bizarre circumstances during the whole night.
