Game of Life (TV programme)

Game of Life (also The Game of Life) was an educational programme for teenagers, commissioned by the ABC and SBS in 1986. [1] The format was a compere (Mic Conway) would teleport seven youths to a disco in the opening credits, one of whom would be chosen as that episode's reporter. [2] Topic included leaving high school, sex and drugs. Mic Conway said, "It got a big response mainly from people who didn't like that it tackled "youth" issues like drugs, sex etc; just as families were settling down to dinner and the ABC news, so it was not taken up again." The eight episodes screened from Thursday 3 April 1986 on ABC, and were repeated twice on both ABC and SBS [3]

The Argonauts Club was an Australian children's radio program, first broadcast in 1933 on ABC Radio Melbourne. Its format was devised by Nina Murdoch who had run the station's Children's Hour as "Pat". The show was discontinued in 1934 when Nina moved to Adelaide. The format was revived on 7 January 1941 as a segment of ABC's Children's Session and broadcast nationally except in Western Australia where the two hour time difference made a local production more attractive. From 6 September 1954 it was called the Children's Hour, running from 5 to 6pm. It became one of the ABC's most popular programs, running six days a week for 28 years until October 1969, when it was broadcast only on Sundays and was finally discontinued in 1972.

The Wiggles Pty Ltd is the business created by the founders of the Australian children's music group The Wiggles. The group was protective of their brand, and adopted many of the same business practices as The Cockroaches, the former band of Anthony Field and Jeff Fatt, two of their founding members.
