Garraway Hotel is a hotel located on the quayside of Roseau, Dominica. It lies between the Fort Young Hotel (to the east) and right next to The Dominica Museum (to the west). In the colonial period this area was part of the Fort Young from 1770. This hotel was built in 1994. [1] Located in a mint green and white building, the five-storey hotel contains 31 rooms and is operated by the Garraway family. [2] The hotel contains an interior courtyard, rooftop terrace, the Balisier Creole cuisine restaurant on the second floor, a duty-free shop on the ground floor and the Ole Jetty Bar. [2] [3] The rooms are fitted with king-sized beds or double beds, with rattan furniture and floral-print fabrics. [4]

Libidibia coriaria is a leguminous tree or large shrub native to the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, and northern South America. Common names include Divi-divi, Cascalote, Guaracabuya, Guatapana, Nacascol, and Watapana (Aruba).

The WCK Band was formed in 1988 in Dominica. The band played a blend of the local Cadence-lypso and traditional Jing ping, Chante mas and lapo kabwit rhythms, which would later be labelled bouyon, a genre which they are credited with creating in the late 1980s.

Jing Ping is a kind of folk music originated on the slave plantations of Dominica, also known colloquially as an accordion band. Dominican folk music, jing ping bands accompany a circle dance called the flirtation, as well as the Dominican quadrille.

Ayo Rock Formations

Ayo Rock Formations are monolithic rock boulders located on the island of Aruba in the Caribbean. They are located near Ayo village, about 3.2 km from the natural bridge towards Casibari. Casibari Boulders are about 3.2 km inland between Natural Bridge and Oranjestad, the capital of Aruba, west of Boca Andicuri.

Mount Sage National Park

Mount Sage National Park is a protected area of the British Virgin Islands. It is named after the highest peak of the island of Tortola, Mount Sage. The Mount Sage volcanic peak rises to a height of 1,716 feet (523 m), and is thus the highest point in all of the Virgin Islands. The park is located to the southwest of the island group's capital, Road Town. The park, which includes the mountain range, extends over an area of 96 acres (39 ha). The vegetation is of semi-rain forest type. There are many trails for trekking and hiking.

Île Tintamarre island in Saint-Martin, France

Île Tintamarre is a small island with an area of approximately 0.8 square kilometres (0.3 sq mi). It is located in the Caribbean Sea, about 3 kilometres (2 mi) from the island of Saint Martin, and is administered as part of the French overseas collectivity of Saint Martin. The island has no human occupants, but has been inhabited in the past. Between 1946 and 1950, it was the base for the airline Compagnie Aérienne Antillaise, which flew planes from the island's 500-metre (1,600 ft) airstrip

Dominica cuisine is the cuisine of the island nation of Dominica. The cuisine is rooted in creole techniques with local produce flavored by spices found on the island.

Saint Barthélemy cuisine mainly revolves around French cuisine, West Indian cuisine, Creole cuisine, Italian cuisine and Asian cuisine. The island has over 70 restaurants serving many dishes and others are a significant number of gourmet restaurants; many of the finest restaurants are located in the hotels. There are also a number of snack restaurants which the French call "les snacks" or "les petits creux" which include sandwiches, pizzas and salads. West Indian cuisine, steamed vegetables with fresh fish is common; Creole dishes tend to be spicier. The island hosts gastronomic events throughout the year, with dishes such as spring roll of shrimp and bacon, fresh grilled lobster, Chinese noodle salad with coconut milk, and grilled beef fillet etc. Notable restaurants include Eddy's, located opposite the Anglican church in Gustavia which serves colonial Southeast Asian cuisine, La Mandala in Gustavia serving far eastern cuisine, Le Repaire on the harbor in Gustavia serving Creole food, K'fe Massai in Centre'lOasis in Lorient inspired by French North Africa, Maya's in Saint Jean which serves French Creole cuisine, Zanzibarth in Saint Jean which serves French, Belgian and Italian cuisine and Do Brasil on Shell Beach, based on Brazilian and Thai cuisine.

British Colonial Hilton Nassau

The British Colonial Hilton Nassau is a luxury five-star or AAA four-diamond colonial hotel in downtown Nassau, Bahamas, located on the only private beach in Nassau, on the site of the Old Fort of Nassau. The hotel, originally opened in 1924, is located in a grand colonial building and has been described as "the Grand Dame of all Nassau hotels", "the most elegant and most expensive hotel in town", and "the most distinctive and pleasant of the island's large hotels".

Plaza Resort Bonaire

Plaza Beach Resort Bonaire is the largest diving resort in the southern Caribbean Island of Bonaire, located at 80 Julio A. Abraham Boulevard, south of Kralendijk, just north of Flamingo International Airport. It is operated by the Van der Valk family of hoteliers and is also known as the Plaza Resort Van der Valk. American divers have reportedly voted it one of the top 10 dive resorts in the world. The resort, which claims to be five-star, although this is disputed by several independent publications, is situated on a peninsula, at the mouth of a man-made lagoon with turquoise blue waters. Plaza Beach Resort Bonaire Its beach measures 500 metres (1,600 ft) long and 50–100 metres (160–330 ft) deep and is a notable scuba diving location, known as Toucan Diving.

Fort Young Hotel Hotel in Roseau, Dominica

Fort Young Hotel is a hotel on the quayside of Roseau, Dominica, in the southern part of the capital next to Garraway Hotel, Dominica Museum, the Roseau Public Library, just south of the Governor's Residence and Roseau Cathedral. Located within the ramparts of the old colonial military Fort Young of 1770s vintage and built in the backdrop of a quay overlooking the Caribbean Sea, the 71-room hotel was established in 1964 and hosts a diving centre.

The Dominica Museum

The Dominica Museum is the national museum of Dominica, an island nation in the Caribbean Lesser Antilles. It is located in the capital, Roseau, on a quay in front of the Old Market of Roseau, which was the centre for slave trading during colonial times. Its building was formerly an old market building and a post office dating to 1810.

The Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino is a hotel and casino in Palm Beach, Aruba, run by Hyatt. It has 360 rooms and suites and is set in landscaped gardens with a lagoon. On the ninth floor of the hotel is the Governor's Suite. The grounds include a scuba centre, bars, restaurants and casino reported to be the world's first "barefoot casino". The hotel has 141 rooms. The headquarters for Divi Resorts is located in Chapel Hill, NC.

Myron Goldfinger is an American architect, known for his 1969 publication, Villages in the Sun, which discussed the architectural style of the Mediterranean. Goldfinger was the designer of the "elegant, high-style" beachside hotel Cove Castles, in 1985. In addition, he designed the luxury resort Altamer in Anguilla. He is married to June. Myron Goldfinger is the architect of the modern house in Long Island featured prominently in the Martin Scorsese film, "Wolf of Wall Street".

The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman is a luxury hotel in Georgetown, Cayman Islands, operated by the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. It lies on Seven Mile Beach. The hotel was nominated for the Caribbean’s Leading Hotel Residences and the Caribbean’s Leading Hotel Suite in 2013 at the 20th World Travel Awards.

Piscadera Bay bight in Curaçao

Piscadera Bay is a waterway in the Netherlands Antilles. It is situated at the western side of Otrobanda, in the southern part of Willemstad, the capital of the southern Caribbean island of Curaçao. It contains a fort of the same name, the Caribbean Marine Biological Institute, and several hotels. It has a small beach, as well as a vacation village and holiday resort, with tennis courts and casinos. Sint Anna Bay is nearby. In the 17th century, maps of Piscadera Bay showed it to be a popular locale for fishing, with over 400 different species noted.

Bissau Palace Hotel, Jaipur

The Bissau Palace Hotel, Jaipur is a heritage hotel in Jaipur, in India. Built in the 19th century, it was the palace of Raghubir Singhji, a royal nobleman. It is located just outside the walls of the old city of Jaipur, a short distance to the north of Chand Pol. It is situated 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) northeast of the downtown area.

Île Frégate Caribbean Sea island

Île Frégate is a small, uninhabited island in the Caribbean Sea located off the north coast of Saint Barthélemy, an overseas collectivity of France. Île Frégate is situated within the Nature Reserve of Saint Bartholomew, which was established in 1996 with the objective of conserving coral reefs, sea grass beds and marine life.

Creole Rock is a small island in the Caribbean Sea off the coast of the island of Saint Martin, and is administered as part of the French overseas collectivity of Saint Martin. It is part of the National nature reserve of Saint-Martin. The rock has an area of 0.2 square kilometres (0.1 sq mi) and is uninhabited
