History

A new media company founded in 2005 by a group of senior editors and journalists with financing from IPKO, Kosovo's leading private telecommunications company. Initial group of founders include: Berat Buzhala, Petrit Selimi, Dukagjin Gorani, Ilir Mirena, Astrit Gashi, Arlinda Desku, Andrew Testa, Gjergj Filipaj, Bul Salihu, etc. First Editor-in-chief was Dukagjin Gorani (2005), followed by Berat Buzhala (2007). Company's first CEO was Petrit Selimi (2005), and was later followed by Baton Haxhiu (2007) and Shpend Jakupi (2010-2013). Current CEO is Leonard Kërquki..

Berg Upper Secondary School was an upper secondary school located in Oslo, Norway. The school was established in 1925 and provided education leading to the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma as well as the college preparatory "studiespesialisering" of the Norwegian school system. The school was closed in 2014, and most programs and employees moved to the new Blindern Upper Secondary School. The buildings are now the location of Berg skole.

<i>Koha Ditore</i> Daily newspaper in Kosovo

Koha Ditore is the leading daily newspaper in Kosovo. It is published by Koha Group and was founded and owned by politician Veton Surroi. His sister Flaka Surroi is now the publisher, following Veton Surroi's launch of his political career within the ORA reformist party. The newspaper initially published as a weekly magazine Koha, that ran from 1992 to 1994, becoming a leading weekly magazine in Kosovo. The initial team included new generation of opinion-makers such as Ylber Hysa, Baton Haxhiu, Dukagjin Gorani, Eqrem Basha, Shkelzen Maliqi, etc. The newspaper with the same name was published for the first time in 1997. Its current editor in chief is Agron Bajrami.

Dragash or Sharr, is a town and municipality located in the Prizren District of Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town of Dragash has 1,098 inhabitants, while the municipality has 34,827 inhabitants. The Albanian name Sharri is a reference to the Šar Mountains. The Serbian name Dragaš comes from medieval Serbian lord Constantine Dragaš.

Religion in Kosovo is separated from the state. The Constitution establishes Kosovo as a secular state that is neutral in matters of religious beliefs and where everyone is equal before the law and freedom to belief, conscience and religion is guaranteed.

Albanian comics, though not well known internationally, were produced mainly by comic-authors from Kosovo. Until recently there was no comic tradition in Albania where comics were seen as junk literature known as fumeti supposedly because pop art was prohibited by the dictatorial communist regime. Today there is one comic magazine published in Kosovo called Leon, and there is Tafë Kusuri comic-strip together with Garfield and Calvin and Hobbes published by Koha Ditore newspaper.

Berat Buzhala Born on November 22 1975, in Klinë Kosovo is a former Kosovo Member of Parliament for the former governing Democratic Party of Kosovo. He joined the political party after working as a journalist. He left politics and returned to journalism after serving a single mandate in the Parliament. Buzhala belongs to a young generation of Kosovar journalists, established after the Kosovo War. He initially worked as an economics journalist in daily Zeri and Koha Ditore, and was later one of the co-founders of daily Gazeta Express. In 2018, Buzhala helped establish a new TV channel in Kosovo named T7 which engages in independent journalism and in-depth political and economic coverage.

Dukagjin Gorani (Albanian) Dukađin Gorani) is a journalist and media expert from Kosovo. Born in Pejë, he became one of the founders of weekly Koha in 1993, and was the first editor of Koha Ditore daily. He was one of the founders and first Editor-in-chief of the Daily Express.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Petrit Selimi</span>

Petrit Selimi is a former Kosovar Albanian politician, who has served as a Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo. He initially served in the position of a Deputy Foreign Minister during two consecutive mandates, under Prime Ministers Hashim Thaci (2011–2014) and Isa Mustafa (2014-2017). After the election of the former Foreign Minister Hashim Thaci as a President of Kosovo, Selimi was named the country's Foreign Minister.

Selim Selimi is a Kosovar lawyer and rule of law specialist, who served as the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kosovo. He also worked as the Rule of Law Advisor and Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister of Kosovo and as Rule of Law Advisor to the President of Kosovo.
