The Guernsey official football team is the official football team representing the island of Guernsey (which is not part of the United Kingdom, but is a Crown dependency) in non-FIFA international football matches. It is not affiliated with FIFA or UEFA, and therefore cannot compete for the FIFA World Cup or UEFA European Football Championship.
Since 1905, they have competed with Alderney and Jersey for the Muratti Vase, winning it 46 times, most recently in 2017. The players are selected from the Guernsey leagues, with the top Division being the FNB Priaulx League.
Guernsey Football went under a transformation at the start of the 2011–12 season when Guernsey F.C. was created, which led to the vast majority of the top Island players competing in the English non-league pyramid system for the first time.
The official team is coached by Stephen Sharman who was appointed in September 2013 after Kevin Graham stepped down. [1]
Guernsey also competes in Football at the Island Games.

Non-FIFA international football is the segment of international football that is not overseen by FIFA. FIFA is the international governing body of association football, overseeing football globally and with running international representative matches. However, some international football takes place outside its purview. This often consists of matches involving sub-national entities such as islands, colonies, or autonomous regions. Representative matches also occur involving states with limited international recognition who are unable to qualify for FIFA membership. There are also a limited number of states whose representative teams are not affiliated to FIFA. Historically, a number of competitions occurred outside FIFA's auspices. Member associations are national associations, usually affiliated to continental confederations which are subordinate to FIFA.

An inter-insular match has been played annually between the two sides since 1950 and often attracts crowds above 1,000. It is often referred as ‘reds vs greens’ contest. The format has varied over the years but has been played as a 50-over contest in recent times and a Women’s Inter-Insular match was first played in 2009. In 2018, the format switched to a series of Twenty20 matches, although the traditional 50-over match returned from 2019 in addition to the Twenty20 series. The Twenty20 matches have had men's Twenty20 International (T20I) status since 2019, as the International Cricket Council granted T20I status to all of its members from the start of the year. On 31 May 2019, there was also a one-off women's Twenty20 International fixture between the two women's teams. It was the first T20I match for both the teams.
