Gymnastics competitions at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast, Australia, were held from April 5 to 9, 2018 (artistic) and 11 to 13 (rhythmic) at the Coomera Indoor Sports Centre. [1] [2] A total of 14 artistic gymnastics events were held (eight for men and six for women), along with six rhythmic gymnastics events.

The 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games, officially known as the IV Commonwealth Youth Games, and commonly known as Isle Of Man 2011, is a multi-sport event which took place from 7 to 13 September 2011 in the British Crown Dependency of Isle of Man. As per the original quadrennial cycle, the Games were scheduled for 2012. However, the Commonwealth Games Federation at its general assembly in 2005 decided to move the Games within one year before the Summer Olympics. The Bowl Stadium at the National Sports Centre, Douglas staged the opening ceremony on 7 September 2011. The closing ceremony was held on Douglas Promenade & the Villa Marina on 13 September.

Gymnastics at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo was held in three categories: artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and trampolining. After months of waiting due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Summer Olympics were finally held in Tokyo 2021 at the Olympic Gymnastic Centre. Spectators were unable to attend, making this the smallest Olympic crowd. "After waves of the COVID-19 pandemic, multiple pleas for cancellation, a recent surge of coronavirus cases in Japan, and an official name that went out of date, the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics are finally on."

Gymnastics competitions at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, was held from 24 July to 1 August at the SSE Hydro arena at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre.

Rugby sevens at the 2018 Commonwealth Games was held on the Gold Coast, Australia from April 13 to 15. The rugby sevens competition was held at Robina Stadium. This is the sixth time that the men's competition was held, following rugby sevens's debut at the 1998 Games, with women's rugby sevens making its debut. Anna-Marie Suzanne Quint Ondaatje also simply known as Anna-Marie Ondaatje is a Canadian born female rhythmic gymnast of Sri Lankan descent. She has competed in national level competitions in Canada and has represented both Canada and then switched to compete for Sri Lanka in international gymnastics events. She became the first rhythmic gymnast to represent Sri Lanka at the Commonwealth Games after creating history for the nation at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and was also named as one of just four female gymnasts from Sri Lanka to represent at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Weightlifting is one of the sports contested at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, to be held in Birmingham, England. This will be the nineteenth staging of weightlifting at the Commonwealth Games since its inclusion in 1950, and the second staging within England specifically.
