HRT International (abbreviated as HRT Int., before The Fifth Program of Croatian Radio and Television or HTV 5) is the fifth Hrvatske radiotelevisionije television program. It began on 1 January 2018, and is intended for Croats outside the Republic of Croatia and the international public.

Satellite and cable access is possible in Europe, North America, South America, Australia and in New Zealand, and specialized content is shown intended for Croatian emigrants and the international public, a selection of content from the four HRT national television programs and a selection from the archive material of Croatian Radio Television. [1]

On 1 January 2019, HRT 5 changed its name to HRT International. [2]

Croatia has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 29 times since making its debut at the 1993 contest. Croatia's best result in the contest is a second-place finish in 2024.

TV kalendar is a daily historical documentary television series produced and broadcast by Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) on HRT 1, its first channel. Running continuously since 1976 and spanning more than 13,850 episodes, it is one of the HRT's most enduring television programs.

Television in Croatia was first introduced in 1956. The electronic communications market in Croatia is regulated by the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), which issues broadcast licenses and monitors the market. The DVB-T and satellite transmission infrastructure is developed and maintained by the state-owned company Odašiljači i veze (OiV).

Croatia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with the song "Nebo" written and performed by Nina Badrić, who was selected internally by the Croatian broadcaster Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) on 10 January 2012 to represent Croatia at the 2012 contest in Baku, Azerbaijan. Her song Nebo" was presented to the public on 18 February 2012 during the special programme Dora 2012 - Idemo na Eurosong s Ninom!.

Croatia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "The Dream" written by Jacques Houdek, Andrea Čubrić and Charlie Mason. The song was performed by Roko. Songwriter Jacques Houdek represented Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song "My Friend" where he placed thirteenth in the grand final of the competition. The Croatian broadcaster Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) organised the national final Dora 2019 to select the Croatian entry for the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv, Israel. Sixteen entries competed in the national final on 16 February 2019 and "The Dream" performed by Roko was selected as the winner following the combination of votes from ten regional juries and a public televote.

Croatian Radio is the official broadcasting service of Croatia. Founded on May 15, 1926 as Zagreb Radio, it's the second radio station in all of Southeast Europe. Part of Croatian Radiotelevision, it operates three national stations, several regional branches and an international service.

Croatia originally planned to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with the song "Divlji vjetre" written by Ante Pecotić. The song was performed by Damir Kedžo. The Croatian broadcaster Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) organised the national final Dora 2020 to select the Croatian entry for the 2020 contest in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Fourteen entries competed in the national final on 29 February 2020 and "Divlji vjetre" performed by Damir Kedžo was selected as the winner following the combination of votes from five regional juries and a public televote.
