Estranged is a Malaysian alternative rock band that formed in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur in 2001. Bunkface is a Malaysian rock band formed in 2006. The band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Sam (Shamsul Anuar), bass guitarist Youk (Farouk Jaafar), lead guitarist Paan (Ahmad Farhan), and drummer Biak (Alif Sufian). The name Bunkface was suggested by Biak which was influenced from the Sum 41 song titled "Crazy Amanda Bunkface". Popular songs by Bunkface include Silly Lily, Situasi, Revolusi, Prom Queen, Through My Window, Ekstravaganza, Rentak Laguku, Malam Ini Kita Punya, Darah Muda and Masih Di Sini. Anugerah Planet Muzik 2009 is the 9th edition of Anugerah Planet Muzik, held on July 18, 2009, for the first time taking place in Indonesia, in the Jakarta Convention Center. It was the first time APM was in Jakarta. There was a bombing at the hotel Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott Hotels the day before the show, but that did not stop the musicians of Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia from continuing to enliven the Anugerah Planet Muzik 2009.
Fragmen (Fragment) is a 2014 album by Malaysian singer Siti Nurhaliza. It was her 17th studio album and her 16th Malay-language album, released physically on 30 June 2014 by Universal Music Group (Malaysia) in a collaboration with her own record company, Siti Nurhaliza Productions. Most of the songs in the album is inspired by her life and experiences. The production of the album saw a collaboration between Malaysian and Indonesian composers, lyricists and producers.
Gloria Jessica is an Indonesian singer-songwriter of Batak descent. She was one of the contestants of the second season of The Voice Indonesia (2016), broadcast by the national television station RCTI. She started gaining wide public attention after performing her rendition of Coldplay's "A Sky Full of Stars" in the knockout round of the singing contest. On YouTube, the video of the performance made its way to the very top of nationally "trending" videos and held its position there for more than a week. In the same year, she signed with Universal Music Indonesia. Her fifth single, "Hold On", is the first one fully in English and written by herself in collaboration with Joseph Saryuf of Santamonica and Direct Action. "Buka Mata", released in 2019, is also a product of their collaboration. The following year saw Gloria working with American musicians Kyle Patrick and Jesse Ruben, resulting in the single "Still Worth Loving". In 2021, "Berlalu" was released. The song was produced by a trio of prominent Indonesian musicians/producers: Widi Puradiredja of Maliq & D'Essentials, Kimo Rizky of Kimokal, and Joseph Saryuf.
Bhumiband is an independent Singaporean Malay band. Formed in 2003, the band consists of lead singers Ard and Awi Rafael, pianist and keyboardist Hang Dimas, drummer Zuher, lead guitarist Athif, bassist Kif, and percussionist Eddy. The band's lineup has remained static during its history, with the only exceptions of the departure of guitarist and co-songwriter Nazri, Ard and Kif in 2005. Hang Dimas would later join the band Hujan in 2008. Awi Rafael also has a successful solo career after Bhumiband. Irfan and Reamie both become official members in 2016.
