Hammal O Mahganj is a Pakistani Balochi-language film released in 1976. It is known as the first feature Balochi film. The film could not make it to the cinemas due to political pressure. [1] [2] The film was produced by Anwar Iqbal who also played the lead role in the film along with Nadir Shah Adil, Aneeta Gul, Saqi and Noor Mohammad Lashari. [3] Set in the 15th century when Portuguese discovered Indian subcontinent, the story revolves around a man who stands against the Portuguese for the honour of his motherland. The film was screened in 2017 on 28 February, Baloch Culture day. [3]

Deewar-e-Shab is a 2019 Pakistani historical drama television series created and produced by Momina Duraid of MD Productions, and directed by Iqbal Hussain. It is the dramatization of the novel of the same name by Aliya Bukhari. The series has Nausheen Shah, Sarah Khan, Shehzad Sheikh, Shehroz Sabzwari Bushra Ansari, Asma Abbas, Kinza Hashmi, Anmol Baloch, Hira Soomro and Osama Tahir as leading actors while Zara Noor Abbas, Iqbal Ansari and Mohsin Abbas Haider also have an extended cameo appearance. Noor Muhammad Lashari was a stage, radio, TV and film actor from Sindh, Pakistan. He was awarded the Pride of Performance Award in 1992 by the Government of Pakistan.
