Henny Thijssen (born April 18, 1952, Enschede) is a Dutch singer-composer.[ clarification needed ] He is the elder brother of singers Wilma and Reiny Landkroon.

In 1988, Thijssen received 1st place public jury and the 3rd place specialized jury with Save Our Planet in the World Songfestival in Bratislava, Slovakia. In 1998, he published Tastbaar and, in 2008, he published Levensecht.

His last singles were Tabbe Tabbe Tab (2007), Die Nacht is mijn Leven (2008; with Henri van Velzen) and Dans nog een keer met mij (2008) what was a nice success in the Netherlands Charts. Thijssen writes songs for many Dutch artists. [1]

You Let Me Walk Alone

"You Let Me Walk Alone" is a song performed by German singer Michael Schulte. The song was released as a digital download on 20 February 2018 through Very Us Records, and was written by Schulte along with Thomas Stengaard, Nisse Ingwersen, and Nina Müller. It represented Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal. It ended up coming fourth in the Grand Final, thus becoming Germany's best placing song since Lena's victory at the 2010 contest in Oslo, Norway and their second-best result of the 21st century overall.

The Theo Thijssen-prijs is a Dutch literary award awarded once every three years to a Dutch author of children's literature or young adult fiction. The award is not given for a particular work but for the entire oeuvre. The award is named after Dutch writer, teacher and socialist politician Theo Thijssen. The winner of the prize receives €60,000 and a small replica of a statue of Theo Thijssen by Hans Bayens.

Joris Thijssen Dutch Greenpeace director and politician

Joris Thijssen is a Dutch environmental activist and politician. After studying aerospace engineering, he started working for the environmental organization Greenpeace. He participated in numerous protest actions, leading to a number of arrests and a criminal record. In 2016, he became co-director of Greenpeace Netherlands. He left his job to participate in the 2021 general election, in which he was elected to the House of Representatives. There, he represents the Labour Party.
