The Hindu Aikya Vedi (HAV), Aikya Hindu Vedika, or Hindu United Front is a Hindu nationalist organisation in the state of Kerala, India.

The first chairman of HAV was Swami Sathyananda Saraswathi.[ citation needed ]
The HAV also funded the restoration of two large temples in the village of Kesalingayapalli and also implemented certain policies that made the village more Hindu, from ordering children to read the Bhagavad Gita every night to banning Christian evangelists from entering the village. Pleased by the success of their policies, the HAV also applied the same policies to other villages. [1]

The Sangh Parivar refers, as an umbrella term, to the collection of Hindu nationalist organisations spawned by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), which remain affiliated to it. These include the political party Bharatiya Janata Party, religious organisation Vishva Hindu Parishad, students union Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), religious militant organisation Bajrang Dal that forms the youth wing of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), and the worker's union Bharatiya Kishan Sangh. It is also often taken to include allied organisations such as the Shiv Sena, which share the ideology of the RSS. The Sangh Parivar represents the Hindu nationalist movement of India.

Kerala Varma Thampuran popularly known as Aikya Keralam Thampuran or Kerala Varma VII was the Maharaja (king) of Cochin who ruled between 1946 and 1949. He mooted the idea of a unified Kerala state in India for the Malayalam speaking population and stood for the merging of British Malabar, Cochin and Travancore. Therefore, he was given the sobriquet Ikyakeralam Thampuran. He died in July 1948. He was also the brain behind the formation of Sree Kerala Varma College at Thrissur, named after him.

Aranmula International Airport was an airport project planned to be built at Aranmula, Pathanamthitta district of Kerala in India, at a cost of ₹20 billion (US$250 million). The airport never received the necessary clearances and the project was abandoned. The airport was proposed to be built on about 700 acres (2.8 km2) of land. The controversial project faced strong protest from environmentalists and opposition parties of Kerala. After the Supreme Court of India ratified an order of National Green Tribunal verdict declaring Aranmula Airport Project in violation of environmental requirements, the Govt of India withdrew its sanction for the Airport leading to the termination of the project.

Sabarimala is a temple dedicated to Shasta in Pathanamthitta District, Kerala, India. Women and girls of reproductive age were traditionally not permitted to worship there, as Shasta is a celibate deity. A Kerala high court provided a legal justification for this tradition, and from 1991 on, women were legally forbidden to enter the temple.
