The Homeland Party (Turkish : Yurt Partisi) is a right-wing, nationalist and conservative, political party in Turkey. [2] The party was founded on 2002 by Saadettin Tantan. In the 2002 elections, the party won 0.9% of the vote and got no seats.

The YP announced their participation in the June 2015 general election, making it the first time in 13 years that the party participated in the country's general elections. The party obtained 9,289 votes (0,02%) and won no seat. [3]

They were the 25th general elections in the History of the Republic of Turkey and elected the country's 26th Parliament. The election resulted in the Justice and Development Party (AKP) regaining a parliamentary majority following a 'shock' victory, having lost it five months earlier in the June 2015 general elections.

Sadettin Tantan is the Turkish politician who is the founder and current leader of the Homeland Party since 2002. He was a former member of the Motherland Party (ANAP) and served as the Minister of the Interior between 1999 and 2001 under the DSP-ANAP-MHP coalition led by Bülent Ecevit.
