I Was a Teenage Faust is a 2002 made-for-television film of an adolescent who sells his soul to the Devil to achieve popularity. [1] It was directed by Thom Eberhardt and although the film takes place in Indiana, it was filmed in south-western British Columbia.
The film follows the story of socially inept adolescent Brendan Willy (Josh Zuckerman) who lives in Indiana. When he desires the affections of Twyla Day (Caroline Elliott), Mr. Five, (Robert Townsend) a tempter from Hell, approaches Brendan with an offer to make him popular.
The film has a user rating of 47% on Rotten Tomatoes. [2]
Five Star Final is a 1931 American pre-Code drama film about the excesses of tabloid journalism directed by Mervyn LeRoy and starring Edward G. Robinson, Aline MacMahon and Boris Karloff. The screenplay was by Robert Lord and Byron Morgan based on the 1930 play of the same name by Louis Weitzenkorn. The title refers to the practice of newspapers publishing a series of editions throughout the day, with their final-edition front page having five stars printed and the word "Final." "Five Star Final" is also a font introduced during World War I and then favored by newspapers for its narrow type.

Faust – A German Folktale is a 1926 silent fantasy film, produced by Ufa, directed by F. W. Murnau, starring Gösta Ekman as Faust, Emil Jannings as Mephisto, Camilla Horn as Gretchen/Marguerite, Frida Richard as her mother, Wilhelm Dieterle as her brother, and Yvette Guilbert as Marthe Schwerdtlein, her aunt. Murnau's film draws on older traditions of the legendary tale of Faust as well as on Goethe's classic 1808 version. Ufa wanted Ludwig Berger to direct Faust, as Murnau was engaged with Variety; Murnau pressured the producer and, backed by Jannings, eventually persuaded Erich Pommer to let him direct the film.
