The Science Museum is a major museum on Exhibition Road in South Kensington, London. It was founded in 1857 and is one of the city's major tourist attractions, attracting 3.3 million visitors annually in 2019.

Jonathan Adair Turner, Baron Turner of Ecchinswell is a British businessman and academic who was Chairman of the Financial Services Authority during the global financial crisis, serving from 2008 until its abolition in March 2013. Dame Margaret Kate Weston, DBE, FMA was a British museum curator who was the director of the Science Museum, London, between 1973 and 1986. She began her career as an electrical engineer before joining the Science Museum in 1955. Weston oversaw the expansion of the museum into the Science Museum Group, including the foundation of the National Railway Museum in York and the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television in Bradford. She also played a key role in acquiring Concorde 002, which is now housed at the Fleet Air Arm Museum in Yeovilton.

Sir Mark Ellis Powell Jones is a British art historian, numismatist and museum director. He was Master of St Cross College, Oxford, from 2011-2016. Previously, from 2001 to 2011, he was director of the Victoria and Albert Museum.
J. Patrick Greene is a British archaeologist and museum director. He served as Director of the Science and Industry Museum, in Manchester, England from 1983 to 2002, and then CEO of Museums Victoria in Australia from 2002 to 2017.
Nemat Talaat Shafik, Baroness Shafik,, also known as Minouche Shafik, is an Egyptian-born British-American economist. She has been serving as the President and Vice Chancellor of the London School of Economics since September 2017. On July 1, 2023, she became the 20th president of Columbia University, the first woman since its founding in the year 1754. She also currently serves as Board Member of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Andrew John Scott, born 1958, was Director of the National Railway Museum in York, part of the National Museum of Science and Industry (NMSI) in England from 1994. His previous museum appointments had been with the West Yorkshire Transport Museum in Bradford, the Bradford Industrial Museum, and the London Transport Museum 1988–94. Before that he was an engineer in the public sector, having gained a BsC in Civil Engineering and an MSc in Mining Engineering, both at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.
