Loren Everett "Steve" Owens is an American former football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for five seasons with the Detroit Lions. He played college football for the Oklahoma Sooners, where he won the 1969 Heisman Trophy and was named to the All-American team. He was selected in the first round of the 1970 NFL Draft by the Lions, and became the first Lion to rush for over a 1,000 yards in a season.

William B. Frank, Jr. was a Canadian football offensive tackle in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the BC Lions, Toronto Argonauts and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He also was a member of the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Colorado. He is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.

Vincent James Phason was an American professional football player who played as a defensive back who played from 1975 to 1985 in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was a CFL All-Star in 1982. In 1975, Phason was drafted in the NFL by the San Diego Chargers out of the University of Arizona. His football career eventually took him to Canada and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL. He also played for the BC Lions, Edmonton Eskimos and the Montreal Concordes. Phason was paralyzed from the chest down in a November 1998 automobile accident. Seven months after being released from hospital Phason was back coaching high school football. He died on September 5, 2018, at a hospital in Denver.
Jerome Messam is a former professional Canadian football running back. He most recently played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the BC Lions. After being traded to the Edmonton Eskimos, he became the seventh Canadian running back since 1955 and the first since 2000 to rush for over 1,000 yards while also winning the CFL's Most Outstanding Canadian Award. Messam played college football for Graceland University.
Anthony Reddick is an American former football defensive back who played for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Reddick signed as a free agent with the Lions on April 27, 2010. He played college football for the Miami Hurricanes. In a 2006 brawl, Reddick swung his helmet as a weapon at players on the opposing team. He was one of 31 players suspended for the incident.

He played college football at Florida Atlantic, where he played in 39 games with 16 starts and finished his career with 463 carries for 2,424 yards and 22 touchdowns. Howell signed with the Miami Dolphins after going undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft.
