iii (stylized on the album cover as MiiiKE SN!!!W) is the third studio album by Swedish indie pop band Miike Snow. It was released in the United States on 4 March 2016.
The band teased their third album, and its leadoff single "Heart Is Full", on social media on 19 October 2015. [1] On 29 October 2015, the band debuted "Heart Is Full" on the radio station Beats 1. [2] On 3 December 2015, the band debuted the album's second single, "Genghis Khan", and announced the release date of the album. [3]
The first single to be taken from the album was "Heart Is Full", released on 30 October 2015, which debuted on Beats 1 the day before. The video for "Heart Is Full" was released on 11 November 2015. The music video was directed by Lance Drake. [4] The second single, "Genghis Khan", was released on 3 December 2015.
The official music video for the album's fourth single, "My Trigger", was released on 22 August 2016. [5] On 30 September 2016, the Mark Ronson remix of "Heart Is Full" was released. [6] "The Heart of Me" was released as the fourth single in the United States on 15 November 2016 [7] and is included in the soundtrack of the video game Forza Horizon 3 . [8]
The band performed the songs "Heart Is Full" and "Genghis Khan" on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on 1 March 2016. In addition, they announced a tour in 2016 to promote the album. The tour began on 3 March 2016 and is scheduled to end on 29 July 2016. Specific dates within the tour are part of major music festivals, including Coachella, the Governors Ball Music Festival and Lollapalooza, as well as others. The album received generally favorable reviews upon release. As of 8 March 2016 [update] , Metacritic assigned the album an average score of 68 on a normalized scale of 100. Entertainment Weekly praised the sound of the album, noting that "for Miike Snow, words are hardly the point. iii's guiding principle seems to be style over substance — and Miike Snow have that in spades." [12] The Boston Globe gave a more mixed reaction to the album, saying "the album does offer some irresistible moments, but they evaporate quickly". [17]

Bloodshy & Avant are a Swedish songwriting and production duo consisting of Christian "Bloodshy" Karlsson and Pontus "Avant" Winnberg. They have worked with many prominent artists, including Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Ms. Dynamite, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Kelis, Girls' Generation, Christina Milian, Sky Ferreira, Hikaru Utada and BoA. In addition to their production work, Karlsson and Winnberg are also members of the synth-pop group Miike Snow, alongside lead vocalist Andrew Wyatt.
The British-American hard rock band Whitesnake have released thirteen studio albums, nine live albums, twelve compilation albums, three box sets, two extended plays (EPs), 40 singles, nine video albums and 29 music videos. Formed in London in 1978 by vocalist David Coverdale, the band originally featured guitarists Micky Moody and Bernie Marsden, bassist Neil Murray, keyboardist Peter Solley and drummer Dave Dowle. Andrew Wyatt Blakemore is an American musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. Born and raised in Manhattan, New York, he began his career playing in New York bands such as The A.M. and Black Beetle. He gained wider notability as the frontman of the Swedish electronic pop band Miike Snow, which released its acclaimed debut album in 2009. Since that time, Wyatt has released two other albums with the band as well as his solo debut Descender on Downtown Records in 2013.

He started his international music career as one half of the electro pop duo Bloodshy & Avant with Pontus Winnberg, producing and co-writing tracks for pop stars such as Madonna, BoA, Kylie Minogue, and Katy Perry. Bloodshy & Avant notably co-wrote and produced Britney Spears' single "Toxic", which earned them a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording in 2005. While continuing to work with Bloodshy and Avant, Karlsson also became a member of the indie pop band Miike Snow around 2007. Miike Snow, the group's debut album, was released in 2009, and peaked at number 11 on the Top Electronic Albums chart in the United States. Miike Snow won the 2011 European Border Breakers Award, and their second album Happy to You reached No. 1 on the Belgian Heatseekers Albums Chart and 43 on the Billboard 200.
