A stunt is an unusual, difficult, dramatic physical feat that may require a special skill, performed for artistic purposes usually for a public audience, as on television or in theaters or cinema. Stunts are a feature of many action films. Before computer-generated imagery special effects, these depictions were limited to the use of models, false perspective and other in-camera effects, unless the creator could find someone willing to carry them out, even such dangerous acts as jumping from car to car in motion or hanging from the edge of a skyscraper: the stunt performer or stunt double.

Based on a concept by climber John Long, the film follows Gabe (Stallone), a mountain climber who becomes embroiled in a heist of a U.S. Treasury plane flying through the Rocky Mountains. The film premiered at the 1993 Cannes Film Festival, and was released in the United States on May 28, 1993, by TriStar Pictures. It received positive reviews and earned $255 million worldwide, becoming the 7th highest-grossing film of 1993.

He first achieved prominence as a stunt performer and coordinator, notably as the key stunt double for Keanu Reeves on The Matrix (1999), and as the martial arts stunt coordinator on its first two sequels. School Fight is an upcoming superhero film written and directed by Damien Walters and produced by Matthew Vaughn, serving as the first of a new trilogy in the Hit-Girl & Kick-Ass franchise by Mark Millar and John Romita, Jr., the third live-action installment overall after Kick-Ass 2 (2013). Described by Vaughn as "The Inbetweeners with stunt-men", and starring Greg Townley, Paul Lowe and Bobby Holland Hanton, the film will be followed by The Stuntman, again directed by Walters. Filmed in 2021, it is set to be released in 2024.
