History

Andhra Prabha entered into the space of broadcasting with an Indian television channel dedicated to news in English. [1]   The channel's headquarters is situated in Hyderabad, India, with studios in Delhi and Hyderabad. [2]

Editorial team

India Ahead was led by Chetan Sharma as Founding CEO and Editorial Director. [3] In June 2020, Andhra Prabha Group’s MD Mootha Goutam announced senior management changes to the channel. While the founding CEO Chetan Sharma has moved on, the channel has made a series of senior appointments. Former CNN-News18 Sudeep Mukhia has joined India Ahead as Group President, News Room Operations & Editorial Strategies. [4] Bhupendra Chaubey is the editor in chief, and Sudha Sadanand is the Editorial President.[ citation needed ] [5]

Ratings

The channel became the No.1 channel, in terms of average time spent by viewers during the Budget Week, among all English News Channels in India. [6]   Also, the channel is performing well in the Southern Indian States such as Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu [7] and Karnataka.[ citation needed ]

Distribution

India Ahead is available on all major D2H platforms and cable television operators [8] as a Free-to-Air channel. [9] Also, the channel is available through its mobile app on the Google Play store [10] and iStore.

TV9 Telugu is an Indian Telugu-language 24-hour news channel focusing on the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It formally launched on 1 February 2004 with a 15-day trial run before the formal launch. It is headquartered in Hyderabad. Along with its rival ETV2, it is the oldest 24-hour news channel in Telugu.

A target rating point is a metric used in marketing and advertising to compare target audience impressions of a campaign or advertisement through a communication medium relative to the target audience population size. In the particular case of television, a device is attached to the TV set in a few thousand viewers' houses to measure impressions. The Hans India is an Indian English-language daily newspaper published in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as well as in New Delhi. The newspaper was started on 15 July 2011 and belongs to Hyderabad Media House Ltd., which also owns Telugu-language news channel HMTV. The chief editor is V. Ramu Sarma.

TV9 Bharatvarsh, launched on 30 March 2019, is an Indian Hindi-language news channel owned by the TV9 Network. It became the No. 2 popular Hindi news channel within a year. TV9 Bharatvarsh appointed Barun Das as CEO in 2019. It has been doing 24/7 coverage of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.
