The Indonesia Ladies Open was a professional golf tournament in Indonesia on the Ladies Asian Golf Tour. [1]

History

The first event was played on the Ladies Asia Golf Circuit in 1987. The last event was held in 2012 and women's professional golf did not return to Indonesia until the Simone Asia Pacific Cup in 2022. [2]

In 2010, South Korea's Solar Lee celebrated her first professional victory at the event in Bali. [3] In 2012, Kelly Tan of Malaysia, while still an amateur, lead the tournament ahead of the final round after rounds of 71 and 69, and finished solo third. [1]

The Ladies European Tour is a professional golf tour for women which was founded in 1978. It is based at Buckinghamshire Golf Club near London in England. Like many UK-based sports organisations it is a company limited by guarantee, a legal structure which enables it to focus on maximising returns to its members through prize money, rather than on making profits for investors. The tour is run by a board of directors and a Players' Council. Most of the players on the tour are European, with members from more than 40 countries internationally. The tour operates tournaments across five continents.

The Women's Open is a major championship in women's professional golf. It is recognised by both the LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour as a major. The reigning champion is Lilia Vu, who won at Walton Heath Golf Club in 2023.

Alexis Noel Thompson is an American professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour. At age 12, she was the youngest golfer ever to qualify to play in the U.S. Women's Open. She turned professional in June 2010 at age 15. On September 18, 2011, Thompson set a then new record as the youngest-ever winner of an LPGA tournament, at age 16 years, seven months, and eight days, when she won the Navistar LPGA Classic. Three months later she became the second-youngest winner of a Ladies European Tour event, capturing the Dubai Ladies Masters by four strokes on December 17, 2011. She was the number one ranked women's amateur golfer in the world for a total of 12 weeks, rising to the top on two occasions, the first time on 26 June 2019.

Diksha Dagar is an Indian professional golfer who is also hearing-impaired. She became the leading amateur ladies golfer in India from November 2015. Diksha Dagar represented India at the 2017 Summer Deaflympics where golf was included in the Summer Deaflympics for the very first time and competed in the women's individual golf event securing a silver medal. Diksha also qualified to represent India at the 2018 Asian Games. She is also considered one of the emerging amateur golfers in India. In 2019, she became only the second Indian female golfer after Aditi Ashok to win the Ladies European Tour and became the youngest Indian woman to do so at the age of 18.

The Thailand Ladies Open was a professional golf tournament in Thailand on the Ladies Asian Golf Tour. It featured on the Ladies European Tour in 2005.

Maja Sofia Stark is a Swedish professional golfer. She has six Ladies European Tour titles and earned LPGA Tour membership through her victory at the 2022 ISPS Handa World Invitational. As an amateur she was in contention at the 2020 and 2021 U.S. Women's Open, and after turning professional in August 2021 she won two tournaments in three starts on the Ladies European Tour.

The Singapore Women's Open is a professional golf tournament held in Singapore. It was first played in 1987 as the Singapore Ladies Open, and is from 2022 part of the Ladies Asian Tour and LPGA of Korea Tour.

The Malaysia Ladies Open was a professional golf tournament in Malaysia on the Ladies Asian Golf Tour.
