The band produced the album with Carl Canedy and Jon Zazula acting as executive producer. This is the first Anthrax release to feature Joey Belladonna on vocals, and the first Anthrax release to feature Frank Bello on bass guitar.

Juno Reactor is a multi-national musical and performing group, primarily based in Brighton, UK. Laika were an English band formed in 1993 and helmed by Margaret Fiedler and Guy Fixsen. Their lineup also included John Frenett (bass), Lou Ciccotelli (drums), Louise Elliot, and Rob Ellis (drums). Laika were founded following Fiedler and Frenett's departure from the band Moonshake; Laika's other members had previously worked with different artists on the roster of Moonshake's label Too Pure. Laika's experimental style blended diverse genres, including electronica, krautrock, dub, hip hop, and jazz. They released their debut album Silver Apples of the Moon in 1994, and followed with 1997's Sounds of the Satellites, both to critical praise. Laika released two subsequent albums, 2000's Good Looking Blues and 2003's Wherever I Am I Am What Is Missing, after which they entered an indefinite hiatus. As of July 2022, the band's website is inactive with the domain for sale.

The Membranes are an English post-punk band formed in Blackpool, Lancashire in 1977, the initial line-up being John Robb, Mark Tilton (guitar), Martyn Critchley (vocals) and Martin Kelly (drums). Critchley soon left, with Robb and Tilton taking on vocals, and Kelly moving to keyboards, with "Coofy Sid" (Coulthart) taking over on drums.
We Are the Fury is an American rock band. The band was founded in Toledo, Ohio in 1999, as a nu metal band called Hearsay. The original lineup consisted of vocalist Jeremy Lublin, guitarist Chris Hatfield, bassist Alan Hoffar, and drummer Lublin. Shortly after this, the band changed their name to Hearsay TAO and started playing post-hardcore music. They added keyboardist Todd Wehrle and recorded their first album Where Vision Ends.

Deafheaven is an American post-metal band formed in 2010. Originally based in San Francisco, the group began as a two-piece with singer George Clarke and guitarist Kerry McCoy, who recorded and self-released a demo album together.
