ITMMA (Institute of Transport and Maritime Management Antwerp) was a highly successful and world-leading interfaculty institute of University of Antwerp offering master programs, a PhD program, a postgraduate program, short-term courses, events and conferences and research and consultancy in the area of shipping and ports. ITMMA was founded in 1996 as the first inter-university institute of the then confederal University of Antwerp (consisting of RUCA, UIA and UFSIA). Prof. Willy Winkelmans was one of its founding fathers and acted as ITMMA President between 1996 and 2006. Prof. Theo Notteboom was ITMMA President between 2006 and 2014.

As a highly international institute, about one thousand students from about 75 nations worldwide obtained a master's degree at ITMMA. The institute organized and co-organized leading events and conferences such as the ITMMAPS conferences in 2002 and 2006, the ICLSP conferences in 2004 and 2008, the Ports in Proximity conference in 2007, the Asian Logistics Round Table conference in 2010 and the IAME Annual conference held in Santiago (Chile) in 2011.

Dozens of academic papers were published by former ITMMA research team members such as Wout Dullaert (operations research), Wouter Jacobs (economic geography), Frank Witlox (transport geography), Theo Notteboom (maritime economics and geography) and dozens of researchers and PhD students. ITMMA authored five key reports for the European Seaports Organisation (ESPO) and many more reports for public and private entities. ITMMA was involved in numerous EC projects related to the maritime sector (cf. PPRISM, SPIN, Know-Me, PORTOPIA, etc..). ITMMA staff gave presentations at or moderated over 500 academic and business conferences in the maritime field.

The activities under the brand name ITMMA were discontinued in 2015 following a decision of the University of Antwerp. The newly reconstituted center is known as Centre for Maritime and Air Transport Management (C-MAT) with new programs. [1]

Yerevan State University Public university in Armenia

Yerevan State University, also simply University of Yerevan, is the oldest continuously operating public university in Armenia. Founded in 1919, it is the largest university in the country. Bahçeşehir University

Bahçeşehir University (BAU) is a private educational institution in Turkey, located at the European side of Istanbul. The Turkish National Assembly authorized the establishment of the University of Bahçeşehir by the Bahçeşehir Uğur Education Foundation in 1998. Vietnam Maritime University is a university in Haiphong operated by the Ministry of Transport. The university was established on 1 April 1956 as Haiphong Maritime University. As of 2007, this is the only maritime university in Vietnam. The university has over 1000 staffs, of which, 450 are faculty staffs. The university provides undergraduate and graduate education of shipbuilding, maritime navigation, nautical technology. It has a second campus in Vung Tau city.

Kühne Logistics University

Kuehne Logistics University – Wissenschaftliche Hochschule für Logistik und Unternehmensführung (KLU) is a private, state-recognized business school (Wirtschaftshochschule) based in Hamburg, Germany. It was founded by the Kühne Stiftung which is based in Schindellegi, Switzerland. The contracting body is the Kühne Logistics University gGmbH. Rezaul Kabir

Professor Rezaul Kabir holds the Chair of Corporate Finance and Risk Management at the Faculty of Behavioural, Management and Social Sciences, University of Twente, The Netherlands. He is leading a group of academics who are engaged in teaching and research in the areas of corporate finance, investments, financial risk management and corporate governance. They teach courses in different educational programs of the university, with main contributions to the full-time bachelor and master programs in (international) business administration, industrial engineering & management, and health sciences, and part-time executive master program in risk management. A major role is played in the Financial Management track of the MSc in Business Administration program. About 25-30 thesis writing students are supervised each year in doing research related to their bachelor and master theses. Recent finance PhD graduates were Taufiq Arifin, Hanh Minh Thai and Maziah Nor.

Istanbul Kültür University

İstanbul Kültür University (İKÜ) is one of the many private universities located in Istanbul, Turkey. It has a total of four campuses all in close proximity to each other in the western part of Istanbul. The Faculty of Business at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) was established in 2002. It provides high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Hong Kong and mainland China. Currently, FB consists of three schools/departments: School of Accounting and Finance, Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies and Department of Management and Marketing.
