Ion Iulian Panait (born May 5, 1981 in Mizil) is an amateur Romanian Greco-Roman wrestler, who played for the men's welterweight category. [1] He won two silver medals for his division at the 2008 European Wrestling Championships in Tampere, Finland, and at the 2010 European Wrestling Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan. [2] [3] He is also a member of Dinamo București, and is coached and trained by Carare Petrica.

Panait represented Romania at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he competed for the men's 66 kg class. He received a bye for the second preliminary round, before losing out to China's Li Yanyan, with a technical score of 3–3 and a classification score of 1–3. [4]

He won a bronze medal for the 66 kg division at the 2006 World Wrestling Championships in Guangzhou, China. He is also a two-time medalist at the European Championships, and a member of SKA Saint Petersburg in Saint Petersburg, under his personal coach Grigori Davidyan.

He won a silver medal at the 2006 World Wrestling Championships in Guangzhou, China, and eventually defeated Japan's Makoto Sasamoto for the gold in his division at the 2007 World Wrestling Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan. He also captured a silver medal at the 2005 World Wrestling Championships in Budapest, Hungary, losing out to Bulgaria's Nikolay Gergov in 66 kg tournament. Kim is a member of the wrestling team for Sung Shin Company Sportsclub, and is coached and trained by Kim Sung-Moon.

Mohamed Serir is an amateur Algerian Greco-Roman wrestler, who played for the men's welterweight category. He won two medals for his division at the African Wrestling Championships.
