Irada Suleyman qizi Ashumova (born February 25, 1958, in Baku, Azerbaijan SSR) is a female Azerbaijani sport shooter. She was the first woman to represent Azerbaijan at the Olympics. [1]

She competed in the 25 m Pistol competition at the 2004 Summer Olympics and won the bronze medal. She won a silver medal in the 2002 World Championships.

In the 2004 Olympics she also competed in 10 m Air Pistol without winning anything. However, she was part of the Soviet national team that set a team world record of 1152 in this discipline in 1985.

Ashumova is a teacher at the Azerbaijan Institute of Physical Culture in Baku. She has been a scholarship holder with the Olympic Solidarity program since November 2002. She is married to sport shooting coach Vladimir Lunev and is the mother of young shooter Ruslan Lunev.

Nino Salukvadze is a Georgian sport shooter. She is a nine-time Olympian and has won medals on three occasions. At age 19 and competing for the Soviet Union at the 1988 Summer Olympics, she won a gold medal in the women's 25-metre sporting pistol competition and silver in the women's 10-metre air pistol competition. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, competing for Georgia, she added to her tally with a bronze medal, also in the 10-metre air pistol event.

Sport in Azerbaijan has ancient roots, and even now, both traditional and modern sports are still practiced. Freestyle wrestling has been traditionally regarded as Azerbaijan's national sport, however today, the most popular sports in Azerbaijan are football and chess. Zorana Arunović is a Serbian sport shooter. She won 10 metre air pistol event at the 2010 World Shooting Championships and was later named Serbian Sportswoman of The Year by the Olympic Committee of Serbia. She also won individual gold medals in 10 m air pistol event at 2017 European Championships, and 2015 and 2019 European Games.

Rahi Jeevan Sarnobat is a female athlete from India who competes in the 25 metre pistol shooting event. She won her first gold medal at the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, India. She is the first woman to win a gold medal in shooting at the Asian Games for India – she won the gold at the 2018 Jakarta Palembang Asian Games in the women's 25 metre pistol event. She won two gold medals in 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, the first of the two golds in coming in the 25 metre pistol pair event with Anisa Sayyed. She had previously won gold in the 25 metre pistol event at the 2008 Youth Commonwealth Games, which were held in India.

In 2014, Sidhu was the World record holder in the 10-metre air pistol event with a final score of 203.8. Sidhu is right handed and is right eye dominant.

She also captured a total of 26 medals, and set a world record of 493 points at the ISSF World Cup.

Mirela Skoko-Ćelić is a Croatian sport shooter. She has competed for Croatia in pistol shooting at three Olympics, and has been close to an Olympic medal in 1992. Outside her Olympic career, Skoko-Celic has produced a career tally of five medals in a major international competition, a total of three at numerous meets of the ISSF World Cup series and a silver in the air pistol at the 2002 European Championships.

Galina Viktorovna Belyayeva is a Russian sport shooter. She has been selected to compete for Russia in pistol shooting at the 2004 Summer Olympics, and has won a total of seven medals at various meets of the ISSF World Cup series between 1992 and 2002. Belyayeva trains under head coach Anatoliy Suslov for the national team, while serving in the military at CSKA Moscow.

Nasim Hassanpour is an Iranian sport shooter. She has been selected to compete for Iran at the 2004 Summer Olympics, and has won a bronze under junior division in air pistol shooting at the Asian Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on that same year. Hassanpour also trains under her personal coach Javad Kuhpayezadeh for the national team, while shooting at Azadi Stadium's pistol range in Tehran.

Ruslan Vladimirovich Lunev is an Azerbaijani sports shooter. He is the son of Azerbaijani Olympic bronze medalist Irada Ashumova and her husband and coach Vladimir Lunev. He competed in the men's 10 metre air pistol event at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Irada Azad gizi Aliyeva is an Azerbaijani paralympic athlete, appearing in the category F12 blindness. World Cup winner among Paralympians 2015. Irada represented Azerbaijan at the 2016 Summer Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, which won the silver medal.
