Thomas was drafted by the Cleveland Browns with the 223rd overall pick in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft. [4]

Thomas made his debut against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 4 of the 2022 season.

In Week 7 at the Baltimore Ravens, Thomas recorded 1 pass defended, 2 tackles, 2 assisted tackles, and a fumble recovery after Ravens running back Justice Hill fumbled the ball. [5] [6] In Week 8 against the Bengals, Thomas recorded 1 pass defended, 1 tackle, and 2 assisted tackles. He also recorded his first career sack on quarterback Joe Burrow for a loss of 10 yards on 3rd down. [7]

On August 29, 2023, Thomas was waived by the Browns and re-signed to the practice squad. [8] [9] He signed a reserve/future contract on January 15, 2024. [10]
