The Istanbul Shopping Fest is an annual shopping festival held in Istanbul, Turkey. [1] [2] [3] [4] Established in 2011, the mission of the Festival is to make Istanbul the shopping, culture and entertainment center of the world. [5]

Contents

During the festival, which lasts 40 days and 40 nights, all the contributing shops offer special discounts. The festival especially attracts foreign tourists as the shops offer tax free shopping. Historic sites in Istanbul also participate in the festival by closing two hours later than usual. [6]

History

The first Istanbul Shopping Fest took place between 18 March and 26 April 2011 and lasted for 40 days.

NGOM Fest is a music festival established in Prizren, Kosovo. The word "Ngom" is written in Gheg Albanian dialect and it means "Listen to me" whereas the word "Fest" represents the abbreviation of the word "Festival". This Festival originates from a group of young and creative people who are active in the social life of Prizren and Kosovo. The first edition of the festival was held in June 2011 and due to its major success, the activists were more committed in organizing this event. The main objectives of this festival are to promote new bands and artists, build a new perspective for music festivals in Kosovo, and to connect different ethnic groups in Kosovo and in the region.

Pink Life QueerFest or Queer Fest is an international LGBT themed film festival held in various cities of Turkey. The Queer Fest, held in 2011 for the first time, is the first LGBT themed film festival of Turkey. The festival, held in Ankara until 2013, is started to organized in Denizli and Mersin beginning from 2014.
