Europop is a style of pop music that originated in Europe during the mid-to-late 1960s and developed to today's form throughout the late 1970s. Europop topped the charts throughout the 1980s and 1990s, with revivals and moderate degrees of appreciation also in the 2000s and the 2010s. It features catchy and danceable beats, accompanied by euphoric pop-influenced melodies. The lyrics are usually very simple and carefree in order to have international appeal. One of the main differences between American and European pop is that Europop is generally more oriented towards European dance genres, such as trance, eurodance, and eurodisco.
Eiffel 65 is an Italian Eurodance group that was formed in 1997 in the studios of the Turin record company Bliss Corporation, consisting of Jeffrey Jey, Maurizio Lobina, and formerly Gabry Ponte. They gained global popularity with their singles "Blue " and "Move Your Body" from their 1999 debut studio album Europop. The singles reached number one in many countries, while the album peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 chart. Their following two albums, Contact! (2001) and their 2003 self-titled album did not gain international success, but still managed to gain success in Italy.
Eurodance is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in the late 1980s in Europe. It combines many elements of rap, techno and Eurodisco. This genre of music is heavily influenced by the use of rich vocals, sometimes with rapped verses. This, combined with cutting-edge synthesizers, strong bass rhythm and melodic hooks, establishes the core foundation of Eurodance music.
Luigino Celestino di Agostino, known professionally as Gigi D'Agostino, is an Italian DJ, remixer, singer and record producer. In 1986, he started his career as a DJ spinning Italo disco. His biggest chart successes include "Bla Bla Bla", "Another Way", a cover of Nik Kershaw's "The Riddle", "La Passion", "Super" and "L'Amour Toujours", all in the years 1999 and 2000. The hookline of "L'Amour Toujours" was also used for the 2018 hit remix/mashup "In My Mind".

Italo disco evolved from the then-current underground dance, pop, and electronic music, both domestic and foreign and developed into a diverse genre. The genre employs electronic drums, drum machines, synthesizers, and occasionally vocoders. It is usually sung in English, and to a lesser extent in Italian and Spanish.

Many Eurodisco compositions feature lyrics sung in English, although the singers often share a different mother tongue.
"Lucky (In My Life)" is a song by Italian group Eiffel 65. It was first released in June 2001 as the third single from their album Contact! in mainland Europe (the song was not released in the United Kingdom). The single reached the top 40 in Austria, Canada, and Italy.
Contact! is the second album by Italian Dance trio Eiffel 65. Released on 24 July 2001, the album contains lyrics in both English and Italian.
"L'amour toujours" is a song co-written and recorded by the Italian DJ Gigi D'Agostino. The song was released to American clubs and dance radio in July 2000. In Europe, the song was released in October 2000. The song is from D'Agostino's 1999 album of the same name. Ola Onabule is the vocalist of this song. He performs all the vocals on the track and on all versions of the song. It became an international success and a huge hit throughout Europe, Latin America, Asia and Canada. In 2001, the song became extremely popular in the American dance club scene, peaking at number 78 on the Billboard Hot 100 on 15 September 2001. The album version has a different mix, which was used as the single version in the United States except with vocal samples from "Bla Bla Bla" added.
The expression Italian popular music refers to the musical output which is not usually considered academic or Classical music but rather has its roots in the popular traditions, and it may be defined in two ways: it can either be defined in terms of the current geographical location of the Italian Republic with the exceptions of the Germanic South Tyrol and the eastern portion of Friuli-Venezia Giulia; alternatively, it can be defined as the music produced by all those people who consider themselves as Italians and openly or implicitly refer to this belief. Both these two definitions are very loose: due to the complex political history of the Italian Peninsula and the different independent political states, cultural and linguistic traditions which sprang within them, it is rather difficult to define what may be considered to be truly Italian. Since before the formation of a unified educational system and the spread of information through the radio and the press during the 1920s, all the different cultural and linguistic groups within the country were independent of one another, and a unified Italian country was still only a political or ideological concept far from the daily life.
"The Riddle" is a song by the English singer-songwriter Nik Kershaw, released in 1984 as the lead single from his second studio album of the same name. Kershaw described the lyrical content as being nondescript to fill as a "guide vocal" for the production. It reached number three on the UK Singles Chart and peaked within the top 10 in countries like Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Australia and New Zealand. An accompanying music video was made for the song and features references to Lewis Carroll's book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865).
Radio m2o is Italy's main 24-hour electronic music radio station, owned by the Gruppo Editoriale L'Espresso, ultimately owned by Exor. It was founded in 2002. The station plays dance, EDM, trance, techno, house and sometimes urban music, among various others.
"Too Much of Heaven" is a song written by the Italian dance group Eiffel 65 and the second official single from their first album, Europop. The single was originally released in Italy on 11 May 1999. It was released in Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand and in several European countries in March 2000. "Too Much of Heaven" peaked at number two on the Italian singles chart, and reached the top 10 in France and top 25 in Switzerland. On the Eurochart Hot 100, the song peaked at number 20.

ItaloBrothers is a German dance project from Nordhorn, Germany. The band consists of vocalist Mathias Metten, who works in the studio with Zacharias Adrian and Christian Müller. As of 2022, there are four members; Mathias Metten, Kristian Sandberg, Hanno Lohse, and Dietmar Pollmann. They are most successful in Scandinavia and Central Europe, but also have gone on tour in Eastern Europe. They release all their songs on Zooland Records. Their most successful singles to date include: "Stamp on the Ground", "My Life Is a Party", "This Is Nightlife" and "Summer Air". Their latest track as of April 2023 is “Live 4 Ever” with Neptunica.

"Thunder" is a song by Italian DJs Gabry Ponte and Prezioso and Austrian DJ Lumix. It was released as a single on 7 May 2021 via Spinnin' Records. The song reached the top 10 in Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.
