Jackie Kong is an American screenwriter, film producer, and film director known for the cult horror film Blood Diner . [1]
Kong was born in Hanford, California and grew up in Benedict Canyon above Beverly Hills. Kong has four sisters and one brother. [2] She and her mother moved to Hollywood when Jackie was 16 so her mother, Anita Loo, could pursue a career as an actress. [3] Her mother was a cinephile, and Kong was exposed at a young age to the world of film. In a recent interview on a podcast called Shock Waves, Kong recalls receiving her first 16mm film camera from her mother's good friend Marlon Brando for her 18th birthday. Marlon did however try to talk her out of the world of cinema because of all the stigma and pressures of the Hollywood scene. Despite the reluctant support from Brando and her parents, Kong went on to become a director [2] [4] Kong attended Beverly Hills High School, where she started making short films, and later graduated from California State University Northridge. Kong produces, writes and directs films that are often inventive, shocking, and funny. Throughout the eighties, Kong made many low-budget films and began doing so in her early 20s. She made her first film at the age of 23. [2] Her first film debut was with the killer toxic mutant monster horror feature The Being , starring José Ferrer, Ruth Buzzi, Dorothy Malone, and Martin Landau. Kong next made the film Night Patrol , starring Linda Blair, Murray "The Unknown Comic" Langston, and Pat Paulsen. Both "The Being" and "Night Patrol" were produced by Kong's husband at the time, Bill Osco. Her next film was the extremely gory "Blood Diner," which was a tribute to the notorious Herschell Gordon Lewis horror film, Blood Feast . [2]
Jackie Kong briefly resurfaced in 2001 when directing and producing episodes of the short-lived TV series "Karaoke Nights." Her films such as “Blood Diner” have developed a "cult " following which contribute greatly to her maintaining relevance in film. [2]
Her last movie to date was "The Underachievers," as she was only able to complete two films of her three-picture deal due to Vestron (the video company) going out of business. More recently, she has worked as a speaker and guest of many film festivals and became the Executive Director of a non-profit organization called Asian American Media Development. [4]
Jackie Kong began her foray in Horror Comics 2022, adding Comic Book Creator to her list of accomplishments. Ms. Kong delivered Issue #1 of “Spend The Night” to Kickstarter Backers who funded the first book in October 2021. [6]

Pamela Voorhees is a fictional character and the overarching antagonist of the Friday the 13th series of horror films. She was created by Victor Miller, and first appeared in Sean S. Cunningham's Friday the 13th (1980), played by Betsy Palmer. Pamela is the main antagonist of the first film, in which she is known only as Mrs. Voorhees, and remains an antagonistic presence in its sequels, in which she is seen mostly as a severed head or a figment of her son's imagination. In Friday the 13th Part III (1982), the character appears as a reanimated corpse in a hallucination, played by Marilyn Poucher. Paula Shaw played Pamela in the crossover Freddy vs. Jason (2003); according to Palmer in Friday The 13th Reunion, she was asked to reprise her role in the film, but turned it down after reading the script. Based on the life of a former Russian aristocrat, as he calls her in his 1922 book My Trip Abroad. She was a Russian singer and dancer who "was a stateless person marooned in France without a passport." The film starred Marlon Brando and Sophia Loren, and revolved around an American diplomat who falls in love with a stowaway on a cruise. Sydney Chaplin, Tippi Hedren, Patrick Cargill and Margaret Rutherford co-star in major supporting roles; Chaplin also made a cameo, marking his final screen appearance.

Howard the Duck is a 1986 American superhero comedy film directed by Willard Huyck and starring Lea Thompson, Jeffrey Jones, and Tim Robbins. The plot follows two brothers setting up a vegetarian restaurant as a front for them to kill women and collect their severed body-parts to resurrect the Lumerian goddess Sheetar.
FantaCo Enterprises is an American comic book store and publishing company founded and created by Thomas Skulan and based in Albany, New York. As a publisher, FantaCo was known for its idiosyncratic line-up of mostly black-and-white titles, including the humorous Hembeck Series and the horror title Gore Shriek. FantaCo also published "The Chronicles Series", which cataloged top-selling Marvel Comics titles. In its later years, FantaCo published mostly horror comics and a small number of "good girl art".

Jughead: The Hunger vs. Vampironica was a 5-issue comic book miniseries published by Archie Horror, an imprint of Archie Comics, in 2019. It was a crossover between the Archie Horror comic book series Jughead: The Hunger and Vampironica. The story, which took place in an alternate reality from the main Archie Comics continuity, follows the werewolf Jughead Jones and vampiress Veronica Lodge, the protagonists of their respective series, as they faced off against one another. The series was created by writer Frank Tieri and artists Pat & Tim Kennedy, who previously worked together on Jughead: The Hunger.
