Majhira Cantonment, also known historically as Bogra Cantonment, is a cantonment about 10 kilometers south of Bogura city in northern Bangladesh.

The Pakistani plan for a military action which commenced on March 25, 1971, in the then East Pakistan was code-named Operation Searchlight. This is the Operation Searchlight order of battle which was outlined on March 19, 1971, by Major General Khadim Hussain Raja, GOC 14th infantry division, and Major General Rao Farman Ali in the GHQ of Pakistan Army in Dhaka, (then)East Pakistan.

On 25 March 1971, the Pakistani military, supported by paramilitary units, launched the military operation to pacify the insurgent-held areas of East Pakistan, which led to a prolonged conflict with the Bengali Mukti Bahini. Although conventional in nature during March–May 1971, it soon turned into a guerrilla insurgency from June of that year. Indian Army had not directly supported the Bengali resistance but had launched Operation Jackpot to support the insurgency from May 1971.

In September 1939, the British Army was in process of expanding their anti-aircraft and mobile assets. Among these new changes was the formation of Anti-Aircraft Command which was formed on 1 April 1939, and the 1st Armoured Division formed in 1937. The list below will include the British Army units, colonial units, and those units which were in the process of formation.

Mymensingh Cantonment is a military installation situated at the heart of Mymensingh. It was formally headquartered the 19th Infantry Division of Bangladesh Army. Currently it has the headquarters of Army Training and Doctrine Command, which consists of its Battle Group within the cantonment. The 77th Infantry Brigade under the 19th Infantry Division is also located in this cantonment. The first General Officer Commanding of ARTDOC was Major General Md Zia-Ur-Rahman.
