Jalen Berger (born August 30, 2001) is an American football running back for the Michigan State Spartans. He previously played for the Wisconsin Badgers.
A native of Newark, New Jersey, Berger attended Don Bosco Preparatory High School in Ramsey, New Jersey. [1] As a senior, he rushed 840 yards with 12 touchdowns and added 27 receptions for 357 yards and four touchdowns. Berger was selected to play in the 2020 All-American Bowl. He committed to the University of Wisconsin–Madison to play college football. [2] [3]
As a true freshman at Wisconsin in 2020, Berger played in four games and made one start. He led the team with 301 yards on 60 carries with two touchdowns. [4] Berger played in only three games in 2021, before being dismissed from the team. [5] He finished the year with 88 yards on 24 carries with a touchdown.
After his dismissal, Berger transferred to Michigan State University. [6] [7] [8] He entered the 2022 season splitting carries with fellow transfer, Jarek Broussard.
The Wisconsin Badgers football program represents the University of Wisconsin–Madison in the sport of American football. The 2007 Wisconsin Badgers football team represented the University of Wisconsin–Madison during the 2007 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Led by head coach Bret Bielema, the Badgers completed the season with a 9–4 record, including a 5–3 mark in Big Ten Conference play. The season ended with a loss in the Outback Bowl to Tennessee, 21–17.

The Badgers were coached by Bret Bielema and played their home games at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin. The Badgers finished the season 10–3, 5–3 in Big Ten play and beat Miami (FL) 20–14 in the Champs Sports Bowl.

The Badgers, led by fifth-year head coach Bret Bielema, were members of the Big Ten Conference and played their home games at Camp Randall Stadium. They finished the season 11–2, 7–1 in the Big Ten to be crowned Big Ten co-champions along with Michigan State. Due to being ranked the highest of the three schools in the BCS rankings at the end of the season, the Badgers earned the conference's automatic bid to the Rose Bowl, where they were defeated 21–19 by TCU.
James Calvin White is an American former football player who was a running back in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons with the New England Patriots. He played college football for the Wisconsin Badgers and was selected by the Patriots in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He was primarily used as a receiver and won three championships with the Patriots. In Super Bowl LI, he set records for most receptions and most points scored in a Super Bowl.

Head coach Mark Dantonio was in his fifth season with the Spartans. Michigan State played their home games at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing, Michigan. They finished the season 11–3, 7–1 in Big Ten play to be champions of the Legends Division. They represented the division in the inaugural Big Ten Championship Game where they lost to Leaders Division representative Wisconsin 39–42. They were invited to the Outback Bowl where they defeated Georgia 33–30 in three overtimes. Significantly, the Spartans were able to give 19 of their 20 true freshman redshirt years.

Due to their head-to-head win over Penn State, the Badgers represented the division in the inaugural Big Ten Championship Game where they defeated Legends Division champion Michigan State 42–39 to become Big Ten Champions. They were invited to the Rose Bowl for the second consecutive year where they were defeated by Oregon 38–45.

Jonathan Taylor is an American football running back for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). Taylor played high school football at Salem High School, where he set a New Jersey state rushing yards record. He played college football at Wisconsin, finishing his college career as the sixth all-time rusher in the NCAA and the first player in history to rush for more than 6,000 yards in any three-year span. Taylor finished in the top ten of Heisman Trophy voting three times. Following each of the 2018 and 2019 seasons, he was named a unanimous first-team All-American and recipient of the Doak Walker Award, the award for the top running back in college football. Taylor was selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft with the 41st pick by the Colts. With the Colts, Taylor led the NFL in both rushing yards and touchdowns in 2021, becoming a unanimous All-Pro and Pro Bowler in the same season.
