James F. Antonio (born June 30, 1939) served as state auditor of the U.S. state of Missouri. [1] A Republican from Cole County, he served from 1978 until his resignation in mid-1984. [1]

State Auditor of Missouri

The State Auditor of Missouri is an elected official responsible for serving as the State of Missouri's chief fiscal regulator, conducting financial and performance audits for approximately 200 state agencies, boards, and commissions, and the state's judicial branch. The State Auditor also conducts audits for county and city governments lacking their own auditor or when requested by citizen petition. The State Auditor serves a four-year term, and is the only state Executive Branch official elected in even-numbered non-presidential election years. The office was temporarily held by John Watson after Tom Schweich, who was elected in 2010 and reelected in 2014, died on February 26, 2015. Nicole Galloway was appointed by Governor Jay Nixon to fill the office on a permanent basis until the 2018 election, effective on April 27, 2015, and was subsequently elected to a full term.

Rebecca Otto

Rebecca Otto is an American politician who served as State Auditor of Minnesota from 2007 to 2019. Affiliated with the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL), she served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2003 to 2005 and on the Forest Lake School Board.

The North Dakota State Auditor is a political office in North Dakota. The auditor's duty is to oversee the four divisions of the Office of the State Auditor: State Audit, which audits the state of North Dakota; Local Government Audit, which performs audits of counties, school districts, and other political subdivisions; Royalty Audit, which performs audits of federal royalty payments from oil, gas, and coal leases located within the state, and Division of North Dakota University System Performance Audit, which conducts university audits. State auditors are executive officers of U.S. states who serve as auditors and comptrollers for state funds.

The State Auditor of Alabama is constitutionally required to make a full and complete report to the Governor of Alabama showing the receipts and disbursement of every character, all claims audited and paid out, and all taxes and revenues collected and paid into the treasury. The office also makes other reports to the Governor and the Alabama Legislature as required by law. Since 1969, the office has been responsible for maintaining all property records of all non-consumable property of The State of Alabama. Until 1899 the office was responsible for maintaining all land records of the State when at that time that function was transferred to the Alabama Forestry Commission. Audits conducts by the State are administered by a separate Office of Public Examiners.

2008 Pennsylvania Auditor General election

The Pennsylvania Auditor General Election, 2008 was held on Election Day. Incumbent Democrat Jack Wagner of Pittsburgh was unopposed for the Democratic nomination. Republican Chet Beiler, a construction executive from Penn Township, Lancaster County, was also unopposed for the Republican nomination after primary opponent Chris Walsh withdrew from the race, citing problems with his nomination petitions. Wagner had previously served as a State Senator, while Beiler had no prior political experience, but was a manufacturing executive.
