James Small-Edwards

James Tacuma Small-Edwards is a Labour Party politician, and the London Assembly member for West Central (London Assembly constituency).

Small-Edwards studied politics at the University of Edinburgh and earned a master's degree at the University of Oxford. [1]

He is a former rugby player and the son of Shaun Edwards, [1] and the pop singer Heather Small. [2]

In 2022, he won a seat representing Bayswater on Westminster City Council for the Labour Party. [1] [2]

In 2024, he became the representative for West Central after winning in the 2024 London Assembly election, defeating the Conservative Party incumbent, Tony Devenish. [3] This makes him the first non-Conservative representative for West Central since the London Assembly was created in 2000.

Andrew John Pelling is a British politician. First elected as a Conservative he was an independent Member of Parliament for Croydon Central and on 30 March 2010 announced his intention to contest the seat as an Independent at the 2010 general election, but lost the seat to his former party. He was also a member of the London Assembly for Croydon and Sutton and a councillor in Croydon. Pelling later became a member of the Labour Party in February 2011; he was subsequently expelled from Labour in February 2022.. In early 2024 he announced he had joined the Liberal Democrats, standing for the party in the Park Hill and Whitgift by-election on the 2nd of May 2024.
