Jason Bean (born June 9, 1999) is an American football quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). He played in college at Kansas and North Texas.
Bean was raised in Mansfield, Texas and attended Lake Ridge High School. [1] After graduation, he committed to playing college football at the University of North Texas. [2] [3]
Bean attended the University of North Texas from 2018 to 2020, during which time he played for the university's football team. He played in only one game his first year on campus, thus returning as a redshirt freshman his second year. He received various accolades in his third year, including being named Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week, Manning Award Star of the Week, and Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Player of the Week. He was also included on the Davey O’Brien Award Great 8 list. [1]
After the conclusion of the 2020 season, Bean entered the NCAA transfer portal. [4] [5]
Bean would decide to transfer to the University of Kansas to continue out his collegiate career. [6] [7]
Bean would get the start in week one of the 2023 season, where he would complete 22 of his 28 passing attempts for 276 yards and two touchdowns, while also adding 41 yards on the ground, as he helped the Jayhawks beat Missouri State. [8] In the 2023 Guaranteed Rate Bowl, Bean threw for 449 yards and six passing touchdowns, which were the most passing touchdowns by a Big 12 player in a bowl game in conference history. [9]
On April 27, 2024, Bean signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent after he was not selected in the 2024 NFL Draft. [10]

The 2006 Indianapolis Colts season was the franchise's 54th season in the National Football League (NFL), the 23rd in Indianapolis and the 5th season under head coach Tony Dungy. The team failed to improve on their regular season record of 14–2 from the 2005 season, finishing at 12–4. However, they did improve upon their postseason performance and advanced further into the playoffs, winning Super Bowl XLI.
Jerrod Terrel Johnson is a former American football quarterback and current quarterbacks coach with the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). He previously worked for the Minnesota Vikings in an assistant role. He was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2011. He played college football at Texas A&M.
