Jayapura Regency is one of the regencies (kabupaten) in Papua Province of Indonesia. It is situated to the west of but does not include the city of Jayapura. Previously covering most of the north-east portion of Papua province, it was reduced substantially in extent from 12 November 2002, when the eastern districts were split off to form a new Keerom Regency and the western districts were split off to form a new Sarmi Regency. It now covers an area of 17,516.6 km2, and had a population of 111,943 at the 2010 Census [3] and 166,171 at the 2020 Census; [4] the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 171,331. [2] The administrative centre is the town of Sentani, with 73,927 inhabitants in mid 2022. [2]
Following the 2002 reductions in area, the existing regency comprises nineteen districts (distrik), tabulated below with their areas and their populations at the 2010 Census [3] and the 2020 Census, [4] together with the official estimates as at mid 2022. [2] The table also includes the locations of the district administrative centres, the number of administrative villages in each district (totaling 139 rural kampung and 5 urban kelurahan), and its post code.

Since end of 2014, Infote (also called Love Lake, Danau Love, Telaga Love, or Telaga Hati) has become popular as a tourist attraction. Named for its shape, the Love Lake lays in Central Sentani, which can be accessed from Keerom Regency or from Jayapura through Yoka Village. [5]
As the 2021 edition of National Sports Week (PON) is hosted in Papua Province, Jayapura Regency is selected as one of the games venues. Lukas Enembe Stadium in Sentani Timur District was built as the 2021 PON main venue.
Sikka is a regency within East Nusa Tenggara province, Indonesia, on the island of Flores. It is bordered to the west by Ende Regency and to the east by East Flores Regency. Sarmi Regency is one of the regencies (kabupaten) in Papua Province of Indonesia. It was formed from the western districts which had until then been part of Jayapura Regency with effect from 12 November 2002. It covers an area of 18,034.0 km2, and had a population of 32,971 at the 2010 Census and 41,515 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 42,233. The regency's administrative centre is at the town of Sarmi.
Paniai Regency is one of the regencies (kabupaten) in Central Papua Province of Indonesia. It is named after the Paniai Lakes. It covers an area of 6,525.25 km2, and had a population of 153,432 at the 2010 Census and 220,410 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as of mid-2022 was 227,254 - comprising 124,260 males and 102,994 females. The administrative centre is the town of Enarotali, in East Paniai.
Mimika Regency is one of the regencies (kabupaten) in the Indonesian province of Central Papua. It covers an area of 21,693.51 km2, and had a population of 182,001 at the 2010 Census, but grew to 311,969 at the 2020 Census. The official estimate as of mid-2022 was 321,657. The administrative centre is the town of Timika, which lies within Mimika Baru District, which had 144,893 inhabitants in mid-2021.
Keerom Regency is one of the regencies (kabupaten) in the Papua Province of Indonesia. It was formed from the eastern districts then within Jayapura Regency with effect from 12 November 2002. It covers an area of 9,365 km2, and had a population of 48,536 at the 2010 Census and 61,623 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 62,777. The regency's administrative centre is at Waris. It borders Green River Rural LLG and Amanab Rural LLG of Sandaun Province, Papua New Guinea.
Yapen Islands Regency is a regency (kabupaten) in Papua Province of eastern Indonesia. It covers an area of 2,432.49 km2 (939.19 sq mi), and had a population of 82,951 at the 2010 Census and 112,676 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 116,107. It comprises an archipelago which lies in Cenderawasih Bay off the north coast of Western New Guinea.
East Flores Regency is a regency in East Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia. Established in 1958, the regency has its seat (capital) in Larantuka on Flores Island. It covers a land area of 1,812.85 km2, and it had a population of 232,605 as of the 2010 census and 276,896 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as of mid-2022 was 288,897. The regency encompasses the eastern tip of the island of Flores, together with all of the adjacent islands of Adonara and Solor to the east of Flores, with some much smaller offshore islands. On 4 October 1999, the island of Lembata at the eastern end of the Solor Archipelago was separated from the East Flores Regency to create its own Regency.
Meranti Islands is an archipelago forming a regency (kabupaten) of Riau Province and lies off the eastern coast of the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. It was created on 19 December 2008 by the separating of this archipelago from the mainland regency of Bengkalis. The regency comprises the islands of Tebing Tinggi, Rangsang, Padang, and Merbau, together with minor offshore islands, but does not include Bengkalis Island which is geographically part of the archipelago but remains within Bengkalis Regency. The principal town is Selat Panjang on Tebing Tinggi Island. The regency covers an area of 3,623.93 km2 and had a population of 176,290 at the 2010 Census and 206,116 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as of mid-2022 was 213,532.
East Kotawaringin Regency is one of the thirteen regencies which comprise the Central Kalimantan Province on the island of Kalimantan (Borneo), Indonesia. It originally covered a much larger part of the province, but on 10 April 2002 several districts in the west of the regency were split off to form the new Seruyan Regency, and several districts in the east of the regency were similarly split off to form the new Katingan Regency. The population of the residual East Kotawaringin Regency was 374,175 at the 2010 Census, and 428,900 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 436,079. The town of Sampit is the capital of East Kotawaringin Regency.
Kolaka Regency is a regency of Southeast Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. It covers an area of 2,958.69 km2 (1,142.36 sq mi) and had a population of 208,817 at the 2010 Census, rising to 237,587 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 246,137. The principal town lies at Kolaka.

North Bolaang Mongondow Regency is a regency of North Sulawesi Province of Indonesia. It was created on 2 January 2007 by splitting off districts which were previously part of Bolaang Mongondow Regency. The regency covers an area of 1,672.61 km2 and had a population of 70,693 at the 2010 Census and 83,112 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 84,543. Bitauna is the only official town (kelurahan) in the regency, but the administrative centre is at Boroko.
Manokwari Regency is a regency in West Papua, Indonesia. Following the splitting away of twenty of its former districts in 2013, it now covers an area of 3,168.28 km2 and had a population of 192,663 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 200,785. The administrative centre is presently at the town of Manokwari, which is also the capital of the province, but under proposals currently under consideration by the Indonesian Parliament, the town is intended to be split off from the regency to form a separate independent city.
Jembrana Regency is a regency (kabupaten) in the southwest of Bali, Indonesia. It has an area of 841.8 km2 and had a population of 261,638 at the 2010 Census and 317,064 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 327,850. Its regency seat is the town of Negara.
North Morowali Regency is a regency in the province of Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. The regency was established on 12 April 2013, partitioned from the northwestern districts of Morowali Regency. It covers an area of 10,004.28 km2 and the component districts them in Morowali Regency had a combined population of 104,094 at the 2010 Census. The new regency had 120,789 inhabitants at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 124,006. The principal town lies at Kolonodale.
Sentani Kota is a village (kelurahan) located in district of Sentani, Jayapura Regency, Papua Province, Indonesia. It is the administrative seat of Sentani District, while Sentani District is the capital Jayapura Regency. The village is located to the north of Lake Sentani and to the south of the Cyclops Mountains.
