Jeremiah Slaczka, also known by his nickname Miah, [1] is a video game designer/creative director and co-founder of 5TH Cell, a video game developer in Bellevue, Washington. He is best known for being the concept creator and Director of Scribblenauts as well as the million-seller hit video game Drawn to Life [2] and 5TH Cell's critically acclaimed Lock's Quest , all for the Nintendo DS. Jeremiah is credited as the Director, Lead Designer, Story Writer, Original Concept Creator and Art Director for both Drawn to Life and Lock's Quest.

Scribblenauts was the first handheld game ever to win a "Best of Show Overall" award (across all platforms) at E3 from IGN, GameSpot and GameSpy.

Drawn to Life has since gone on to spawn a franchise involving two sequels, accompanied by a Wii console version, all three titles published by THQ. His previous works for 5th Cell were in mobile games, using both original and licensed work.

In 2000, Jeremiah, along with Joseph M. Tringali (co-founder and General Manager of 5TH Cell), co-founded Epix Interactive Studios, a video game developer, in Chicago, Illinois, that was developing Fate, [3] the first announced MMORPG for Microsoft's original Xbox. The project was canceled and the studio shut down in late 2001. [4]

<i>Drawn to Life</i> 2007 platform video game

Drawn to Life is an action-adventure platform video game for the Nintendo DS developed by 5th Cell and published by THQ in 2007. It was later published by Agatsuma Entertainment in Japan in 2008 under the name Drawn to Life: God's Marionette, and in Korea under the title Geuryeora, Touch! Naega Mandeuneun Sesang. In the game, the player creates their own playable characters, level objects, and accessories by drawing them using the DS's stylus and touchscreen. The game was ported to iOS by WayForward Technologies and released by 505 Games on May 21, 2014.

<i>MX vs. ATV Untamed</i>

MX vs. ATV Untamed is an offroad racing game developed by Rainbow Studios, Tantalus Media, Incinerator Studios and published by THQ for the PlayStation 2 and all seventh-generation platforms, becoming the last MX vs. ATV game to release on the former and the first in the series to be available on most of the latter. Pokémon Platinum Version is a 2008 role-playing video game developed by Game Freak, published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo for the Nintendo DS handheld game console. It is an enhanced version of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl and is part of the fourth generation of the Pokémon video game series. It was released in Japan on September 13, 2008, and later in North America, Australia, and Europe in 2009. Nintendo DSi Handheld game console by Nintendo

The Nintendo DSi is a dual-screen handheld game console released by Nintendo. The console launched in Japan on November 1, 2008, and worldwide beginning in April 2009. It is the third iteration of the Nintendo DS, and its primary market rival is Sony's PlayStation Portable (PSP). The fourth iteration, entitled Nintendo DSi XL, is a larger model that launched in Japan on November 21, 2009, and worldwide beginning in March 2010. Development of the DSi began in late 2006, and the handheld was unveiled during an October 2008 Nintendo conference in Tokyo. Consumer demand convinced Nintendo to produce a slimmer handheld with larger screens than the DS Lite. <i>Scribblenauts</i> (video game) Puzzle video game

Scribblenauts is an emergent puzzle action video game developed by 5th Cell and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the Nintendo DS. The game was released in 2009 in all regions except Japan, and in 2011 in Japan as Flash Puzzle: Maxwell's Mysterious Notebook by Konami. It is the third Nintendo DS video game made by 5th Cell, the first two being Drawn to Life and Lock's Quest. The objective of Scribblenauts, as implied by its catchphrase "Write Anything, Solve Everything", is to complete puzzles to collect "Starites", helped by the player's ability to summon any object by writing its name on the touchscreen. The game is considered by its developers to help promote emergent gameplay by challenging the player to solve its puzzles within certain limitations or through multiple solutions.

E3 2009

The Electronic Entertainment Expo 2009 was the 15th E3 held. The event took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California. It began on June 2, 2009, and ended on June 4, 2009, with 41,000 total attendees.

5th Cell is an independently owned video game developer founded in 2003 as 5th Cell Media, LLC. and is run by Joseph M. Tringali, Jeremiah Slaczka and Marius Falhbusch. The company is most well known for the Scribblenauts series.

Run Roo Run is a platform video game developed and published by 5th Cell for iOS. It was released worldwide on January 12, 2012. The game was announced two days prior to its release, and is the second release from 5th Cell for the iOS platform.

<i>Scribblenauts Unlimited</i>

Scribblenauts Unlimited is a puzzle sandbox video game developed by 5th Cell and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, Microsoft Windows, iOS and Android. The game was announced during Nintendo's E3 2012 press conference on June 5. It is the fourth title in the Scribblenauts series, as a launch title for the Wii U console.

Scribblenauts is a series of action puzzle video games primarily developed by 5th Cell. The series is owned and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The first game in the series was titled Scribblenauts and was first released on September 15, 2009, in North America, exclusively on the Nintendo DS. Since the release of the first game, five other Scribblenauts games have been released, in addition to two compilations and two comic adaptations.
