Jessica "Jess" Sims (born 1988) is a fitness instructor and sports reporter from Peabody, Massachusetts, USA. [1]

Early life

Sims was born in Peabody to JoAnn and Rick Sims. [1] She is biracial, with a black father and Italian mother. [2] She played basketball in high school where she was a two-time all-star and four time league champion. [1] She was also a member of AAU basketball teams from the age of twelve. [3] She played Division III basketball at Trinity College where she was the captain for three years [1] and earned NESCAC All-Academic honors. [4] She graduated college in 2010 with majors in Hispanic Studies and Psychology. [1] [5]

Career

Sims began her career as a teacher. She worked in Houston for Teach for America while obtaining her Master's Degree, and then as a kindergarten teacher in New York. [6] For two years she worked as the Operations Director for a school in Harlem. [6] She then became an assistant principal in Lynn, MA, [2] where she focused on a health and wellness program. [6]

In June 2016, Sims received her personal training certification and began teaching at boutique fitness studios in New York City. [6] In 2018, Sims joined Peloton Interactive as a fitness instructor, where she teaches strength, running, and boot camp classes. [7] [8] Her catchphrase at Peloton is "the glazed donut look", about which she said

"Everyone knows exactly what that looks like. People can see themselves and picture it and think, I'm reaching the glazed donut look right now." [9]

Sims has been an in-arena host and reporter for the New York Liberty since 2021. [10]

In 2022, Sims joined the ESPN College Gameday Program. [7] [8] She also joined the Good Morning America team as an ongoing contributor in 2023. [11]

Nicole Anne Kaczmarski is an American former professional basketball player. A standout player in high school, she received a Gatorade Player of the Year award, was named Miss New York Basketball and earned a spot in the 1999 USA Today All-USA high school basketball team. Heavily recruited by colleges, Kaczmarski eventually enrolled at UCLA and played one season for their women's basketball team. Kaczmarski then enrolled at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Afterward, she had brief stints with two Women's National Basketball Association teams, the New York Liberty and the Los Angeles Sparks. In 2011, she became a color commentator for basketball telecasts. Kaczmarski's high school career and college recruitment were chronicled in the documentary film Running Down a Dream.

Robin Amelia Arzon is an American exercise instructor and author, best known as an instructor at Peloton, for which she is also the Vice President of Fitness Programming.
