Jill Carter is an American politician and activist serving as a member of the Missouri Senate for the 32nd district. Elected in November 2022,she assumed office on January 4,2023.
Carter graduated from East Newton High School in Granby,Missouri,and Crowder College. [1]
Outside of politics,Carter operates her family's farm. She is also an anti-abortion and gun rights activist. [2] Carter was elected to the Missouri Senate in November 2022 and assumed office on January 4,2023. [3]
After taking office,Carter proposed legislation that would allow school districts to opt out of Missouri's school accreditation program. [4]
Jasper County is located in the southwest portion of the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2020 census,the population was 122,761. Its county seat is Carthage,and its largest city is Joplin. The county was organized in 1841 and named for William Jasper,a hero of the American Revolutionary War.

In May 2011,a violent EF5 tornado killed more than 150 people and destroyed one-third of the city.
