James Breuer (born June 21, 1967) [1] is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He was a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1995 to 1998 and starred in the film Half Baked (1998).
Breuer was a member of the cast of Saturday Night Live from 1995 to 1998, playing characters such as Joe Pesci and Goat Boy. [2] Breuer went on to host The Jim Breuer Show after leaving SNL. [3]
Breuer regularly tours as a comedian. Footage of his 2008 tour was used in his documentary More Than Me and in his 4-hour DVD program The Jim Breuer Road Journals. In September 2021, he cancelled shows at venues requiring COVID-19 vaccination in New Jersey and Michigan and has stated that he will not perform at venues with such requirements. [4] [5]
In 2023, Breuer appeared as a featured speaker on the ReAwaken America Tour. [6] During one appearance, Breuer received backlash for mocking the collapse of football player Damar Hamlin; he suggested the collapse was caused by COVID-19 vaccines, echoing conspiracy theories in anti-vaccine circles. [7]
Breuer was born in Valley Stream, New York, [1] [8] and graduated in 1985 from Valley Stream Central High School. [9]
From 2005 to 2021, he lived in Chester Township, New Jersey, with his wife Dee, whom he married in 1992, [1] and their three daughters. [10] In August 2021, Breuer and his family moved to Naples, Florida after selling their home in New Jersey. [11]
He describes himself as a "superfan" of the New York Mets. [12]

Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, COVID-19 vaccine mandates have been enacted by numerous states and municipalities in the United States, and also by private entities. Please Don't Destroy is an American comedy group in New York City consisting of Ben Marshall, John Higgins, and Martin Herlihy, who began collaborating as students at New York University. The group was founded in 2017 and based on an act titled Please Don't Destroy My Farm. The troupe performed monthly comedy shows, appeared at the New York Comedy Festival and produced sketch videos posted to YouTube. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they began creating shorter videos for TikTok and Twitter.
The ReAwaken America Tour is an American far-right and Christian nationalist movement launched in 2021 by Oklahoma entrepreneur Clay Clark and former Donald Trump national security advisor Michael Flynn.
