James L. Dennison (born February 5, 1938) is a former American football and baseball coach and college athletics administrator. On November 11, 2012, Dennison retired as the head football coach at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio. [1] He had held that position since February 11, 1994, the year before the school's football team began play in 1995. From 1973 to 1985, Dennison was the head football coach at the University of Akron. He was also the head baseball coach at Akron in 1966. Dennison served as the athletic director at Akron (1986–1993) and Walsh (1993–2007). He played college football and college baseball at the College of Wooster, from which he graduated in 1960.

He served as the head football coach at the University of Notre Dame from 1981 to 1985 and at the University of Akron from 1986 to 1994, compiling a career college football record of 73–79–4. From 1962 to 1980, Faust was the head football coach at Moeller High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he tallied a mark of 178–23–2 and won four High School Football National Championships. He was the offensive line coach and run game coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL) from 2019-2020. An assistant in the NFL since 1995, he served as offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos, Houston Texans (2010–2013), and Buffalo Bills (2017), and served as quarterbacks coach for the Baltimore Ravens in 2014. He was the special teams coach for the Super Bowl Champion Broncos in 1997 and 1998. The Malone Pioneers are athletic teams of Malone University in Canton, Ohio, United States. He served as the head football coach at The College of William & Mary in 1935 and at the University of Akron in 1939 and 1940, compiling a career college football record of 10–13–5. Dowler also coached the William & Mary men's basketball team from 1934 to 1937 and the Akron Zips men's basketball team in 1939–40, tallying a career college basketball mark of 30–43. Frank G. McCormick was an American football player and coach. He was the first South Dakotan to play professional football. The Akron Zips men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of the University of Akron. As of the next National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I men's soccer season in 2023, the Zips will play in the Big East Conference. Robert M. Walsh was an American football coach. He was the head football coach at St. Benedict's College—now known as Benedictine College—in Atchison, Kansas from 1948 to 1949, compiling a record of 4–14. In 1950, Walsh was hired as an assistant football coach at the University of Toledo to serve under head coach Bob Snyder. Walsh played college football at the University of Notre Dame as a guard, lettering in 1941. He spent one season as freshman line coach at Notre Dame, in 1942, before he was commissioned into the United States Navy in January 1943. Walsh was hired in 1946 as the athletic director at Parks Air College—now known as Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology in St. Louis, Missouri.

The 1973 Akron Zips football team represented Akron University in the 1973 NCAA Division II football season as an independent. Led by first-year head coach Jim Dennison, the Zips played their home games at the Rubber Bowl in Akron, Ohio. They finished the season with a record of 6–5 and outscored their opponents 289–203.
