Jaime Ramon Misa Paredes (born August 30, 1951), better known simply as Jim Paredes, is a Filipino singer, composer, television host, writer and actor. He is known as one of the members of popular musical trio APO Hiking Society along with Danny Javier and Boboy Garovillo. Regarded as one of the pillars and icons of Original Pilipino Music (OPM). He is the son of Ester Paredes Jimenez, a staunch martial law activist.

Paredes' most prominent collaboration work under the Apo Hiking Society and multuple artists called, Handog ng Pilipino sa Mundo , became the anthem of the peaceful People Power Revolution that overthrew the regime of Ferdinand Marcos. It was participated in by 15 Filipino artists in April of that year, and its English version "A New and Better Way" was launched in Australia a few months after. In recognition of its significance, the lyrics of the song are embedded on a wall of the EDSA Shrine, a chapel commemorating the revolution. Paredes' other compositions includes When I Met You, Panalangin, Batang-Bata Ka Pa, Yakap sa Dilim, Mahirap Magmahal Ng Syota Ng Iba, San' Na Nga Ba'ng Barkada Ngayon, Blue Jeans, and Nakapagtataka. In April 2019, Paredes attracted controversy after a video that showed him masturbating was leaked in social media by the person whom he was having videocall sex with. After initially denying the video's authenticity, he later apologized for the video. [4] [5] [6]

Sa Linggo nAPO Sila(They Are Now On Sunday) is a Philippine musical-variety show that aired on ABS-CBN from December 3, 1989 to January 29, 1995. The show competed with GMA Supershow but when Eat Bulaga! moved to GMA Network from ABS-CBN, the management later announced they will move the APO Hiking Society and the rest of their co-hosts to the daily noontime slot and renamed as 'Sang Linggo nAPO Sila(They Are Now On All Week) to fill the void in ABS-CBN's weekday lineup. Sa Linggo nAPO Sila went its final airing after six years on January 29, 1995, and was replaced by ASAP.

The 5th PMPC Star Awards for Television were held at the Metropolitan Theater in Manila on October 26, 1991, and broadcast on IBC Channel 13. The awards night was hosted by Vilma Santos, Eric Quizon, Vic Sotto, Mari Kaimo and to be directed by Al Quinn. The theme of the awards night is Magkatapat pero Magkaibigan as it marks the 25th anniversary of PMPC.
