He is the longest currently-serving member of the Wisconsin Senate, having served for 36 years. He previously served four years in the Wisconsin State Assembly (1983–1987).

Wisconsin's 8th congressional district is a congressional district of the United States House of Representatives in northeastern Wisconsin. It is currently represented by Mike Gallagher, a Republican. Gallagher won the open seat vacated by Reid Ribble who retired in 2016. Steven P. Doyle is an American lawyer and Democratic politician from La Crosse County, Wisconsin. He is a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 94th Assembly district since May 2011. The 94th Assembly district covers most of La Crosse County outside of the city of La Crosse. He also serves on the La Crosse County board of supervisors, and was chairman from 2002 through 2011.

Eric Wimberger is an American attorney and Republican politician. He is a member of the Wisconsin State Senate, representing the 30th Senate district since 2021. The 30th district comprises the cities of Green Bay and De Pere in Brown County, and several municipalities and towns along the west coast of the Green Bay in eastern Oconto and Marinette counties, up to the city of Marinette.

The 89th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in Northeastern Wisconsin, the district covers most of the eastern half of Oconto County, as well as neighboring municipalities in Marinette and Brown counties. It includes the cities of Oconto and Marinette, as well as the village of Suamico and the eastern half of the village of Howard. The district is represented by Republican Elijah Behnke, since May 2021.
