Grifters is an indie rock/alternative rock band based in Memphis who have released albums on Darla Records, Doink, Sonic Noise, Shangri-La Records, and Sub Pop Records. The band released five studio albums from 1992 to 1997. In the years following 1997, the band had breaks in activity with some members pursuing other musical projects and with the band sporadically touring in the years after. Euros Childs is a Welsh musician and songwriter, perhaps best known as the frontman for the band Gorky's Zygotic Mynci and—as of January 2019—the keyboardist for Teenage Fanclub. His sister, violinist Megan Childs, was also a member of Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, and their father Lynn played on some Gorky's recordings, most notably on Barafundle. Childs was born in Freshwater East, Pembrokeshire, and was educated at the Welsh-medium school Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Bro Myrddin in Carmarthenshire.

The band consists of Chris Robertson, Ben Wells, Steve Jewell and John Fred Young. Black Stone Cherry has released eight studio albums as well as two EPs, and have charted seventeen singles on the US Mainstream Rock Tracks charts. Their latest album, Screamin' at the Sky, was released in 2023.

Kidneythieves are an American industrial rock duo from Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 1997 by vocalist Free Dominguez and guitarist/engineer Bruce Somers, and throughout their existence have worked with a revolving door of session musicians and live bandmembers. After releasing two albums, Trickster (1998) and Zerøspace(2002), Kidneythieves went on hiatus in late 2004, but regrouped again in late 2007.

Charles Richard Newman is an American record producer, recording engineer, composer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, talent manager and music publisher. He is the co-founder of New York City's Mother West Records and Studios, The Deli Magazine, and the band PLEASE, who enjoyed minor success when their single "Here It Comes Again" was featured on the soundtrack to the film Empire Records. Most notably he has been working as the main engineer, mixer and co-producer for Stephin Merritt and The Magnetic Fields since his initial work on the critically acclaimed 69 Love Songs. He has also produced, mixed and engineered work by artists such as Flare, Gospel Music, Tom Shaner, Jon DeRosa, Dylan Trees, The Davenports, Lauren Molina, Soko, The Bones of J.R. Jones, Aloud, and, Peppina. Newman began co-managing the Seattle based rock band Motopony in 2015 accompanying the band on their tour of the United Kingdom, and assisting in production on their live EP “Naked at the Abbey” with producer Rob Cass.

Hardy Winfred Fox, Jr. was an American musician. He was co-founder of musical group the Residents, as well as their primary composer. From 1982 to 2016, he was the president of the Cryptic Corporation. During his 44 years with the Residents, and after leaving the band in 2016, he recorded as a solo artist under many names, including Charles Bobuck, Combo de Mechanico, Sonido de la Noche, and Black Tar. His newer solo albums were published by Austrian record label Klanggalerie.
