Jonas Nainys (born June 25, 1983, Birzai, Lithuania), better known by his stage name DJ Jovani, is a Lithuanian music producer, radio and TV host. [1]
Jonas Nainys was born on 25 June 1983 in Birzai. He attended Petras Vileišis school in Pasvalys. He enrolled in Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy and earned a bachelor's degree in Philosophy. In 1998, Nainys made his debut appearance as a DJ at a school event. In 2003, he began performing at several nightclubs. After that, Nainys started his broadcasting career on the popular local radio station, Saulės Radijas. [2]
In 2006, he first gained fame through his appearance in LNK reality show Lith. Ideali pora and won it. [3] [4] Jonas Nainys hosted the Jovani At Club program that focussed on nightlife and nightclub culture. During this program, Jonas interviewed many famous musicians such as Fedde Le Grand, Funkerman, Tiësto, David Guetta, James Zabiela and many others. Soon after, Jonas Nainys landed a job as a host at the radio station ZIP FM. In 2007, he co-founded the Radistai DJs, a musical group and event management firm, with Rolandas Mackeviius. [5] [6]
In 2013, Nainys released the music album On Air, which they recorded in collaboration with Vaidas Baumila, Justinas Jarutis, Linas Adomaitis, and others. It contained a total of 13 dance tracks, and 15,000 copies were sold in Lithuania. Radistai released their second album On Road, after a three-year hiatus, which likewise sold 15,000 copies. One song of this album Good Things was noticed by American record label Warner Music and released under their name. They also started organizing arena events in 2013. Radistai celebrated Christmas 2019 at the Žalgiris Arena. Performers such as Vaidas Baumila, Justinas Jarutis, Mantas Wizard, Donatas Montvydas, Monika Linkytė, Flying Saucer Gang, Mad Money, and many others performed at these events. [11] In 2019, Radistai launched the Inconvenient Questions show (Lith. Nepatogūs klausimai). The show is broadcast by the news portal Delfi.lt and many famous Lithuanian personalities have appeared on the show. [12]
Basketball Club Žalgiris is a professional basketball club based in Kaunas, Lithuania. They compete domestically in the Lithuanian Basketball League and internationally as a long-term licensed EuroLeague team. Since the 2011–12 season, Žalgiris has played its home games in Žalgiris Arena in the New Town district of Kaunas.
Rytas Vilnius is a professional basketball club based in Vilnius, Lithuania. They compete domestically in the Lithuanian Basketball League and the King Mindaugas Cup, while internationally in the FIBA Champions League since 2020–21. Rytas have won two EuroCup titles, six Lithuanian League titles, five LKF / King Mindaugas Cups and three Baltic championships. Darius and Girėnas stadium is a multi-use stadium in Kaunas, Lithuania. With a seating capacity of 15,315, it is the largest stadium in Lithuania and the Baltic states. Located in the Ąžuolynas park in Žaliakalnis district, it serves as a venue for football matches, athletic competitions, and other events. In 1998, the stadium was renovated according to UEFA regulations, and in 2005, it was modernised with the installation of the biggest stadium television screen in the Baltic states. The latest renovation started in 2018 and ended in 2022. During the sporting season, at least 50 events are held here annually.

The Lithuanian broadcaster Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT) organised the national final "Eurovizijos" dainų konkurso nacionalinė atranka in order to select the Lithuanian entry for the 2015 contest in Vienna, Austria. The national final took place over eight weeks and involved 12 artists and 12 songs competing in two different competitive streams. The results of each show were determined by the combination of votes from a jury panel and a public vote, and "This Time" performed by Monika Linkytė and Vaidas Baumila eventually emerged as the winner following the final.

In the final, six artists and songs remained and "I've Been Waiting For This Night" performed by Donny Montell was selected as the winner.
The 2016 Karaliaus Mindaugo taurė, also known as KIDY Tour – Karaliaus Mindaugo taurė for sponsorship purposes, was the first edition of the newly formed Lithuanian King Mindaugas Cup. It's managed by the Lithuanian Basketball League and the Lithuanian Basketball Federation. The competition was held in Vilnius, in the Siemens Arena on February 19–21, 2016.
