Jonatan Eccehomo Romero Preciado (born December 14, 1986, in Cali, Colombia) is a Colombian boxer [1] best known to qualify for the Olympics 2008 at bantamweight. His name is sometimes spelled Jonathan or Jhonatan in press reports but not by the major Colombian media.
Romero who is known by his nickname 'Momo' hails from a boxing family from the "El Retiro" neighbourhood of Santiago de Cali in the Valle del Cauca region. His older brother René, a national amateur champion himself, was shot in 2002.
Romero won bronze at the Boxing at the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games where he lost his semifinal to Guillermo Rigondeaux by walkover but didn't participate in the 2007 PanAmerican games due to a shoulder injury.
At the 2007 World Amateur Boxing Championships he bested Chawazi Chatsygov, PanAm Games silver medalist Claudio Marrero 19:3 but lost to McJoe Arroyo 9:23. By reaching the quarterfinals he joined teammate Darley Perez in qualifying for Beijing 2008.
His record is (23–1, 12 KOs).
He won the IBF Super Bantamweight on February 16, 2013, against Alejandro Lopez (24–3, 7 KOs) to claim the vacant title.
He lost his title in an upset against Kiko Martinez on August 17, 2013, by TKO.

Odlanier Solís Fonte is a Cuban professional boxer. He has challenged once for the WBC heavyweight title in 2011, and is a former top-rated contender in that division. As an amateur heavyweight, Solis was one of the most celebrated and decorated amateur stars of the 2000s, winning a gold medal at the 2004 Olympics, and three consecutive golds at the World Championships in 2001, 2003, and 2005. Odlanier Solís beat Luis Ortiz multiple times in the amateurs, never losing to him.

His twin brother, McWilliams Arroyo, is also a professional boxer. The brothers are the only pair of twins to win medals at the World Amateur Boxing Championships, and the second twins to qualify for the Olympics in boxing.
McWilliams Arroyo Acevedo is a Puerto Rican professional boxer who has held the WBC interim flyweight title since February 2021. He previously challenged for the IBF flyweight title in 2014, and the WBC and Ring magazine flyweight titles in 2016. As an amateur, Arroyo represented Puerto Rico in numerous international events. As of June 2021, Arroyo is ranked as the world's sixth best flyweight by BoxRec and tenth best by The Ring.
Carlos Góngora Mercado is an Ecuadorian professional boxer who held the IBO super middleweight title between 2020 and December 2021. As an amateur, he won a bronze medal at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio in the men's middleweight division.
Abner Cotto Román is a Puerto Rican professional boxer who currently competes in the lightweight division. He is a member of the Cotto family, which has produced a professional world champion and multiple amateur medalists. As an amateur, Cotto has represented Puerto Rico in international competitions. The pugilist compiled several national championships and recognitions, including his division's silver medal at the 2007 Pan American Games.
