<i>Journal of Avian Biology</i> Academic journal

The Journal of Avian Biology is a bimonthly peer-reviewed scientific journal of ornithology published by Wiley on behalf of the Nordic Society Oikos (NSO) in collaboration with Oikos (journal), Nordic Journal of Botany, Wildlife Biology, Lindbergia and Ecography.

The American Academy of Political and Social Science (AAPSS) was founded in 1889 to promote progress in the social sciences. Sparked by Professor Edmund J. James and drawing from members of the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania, Swarthmore College, and Bryn Mawr College, the Academy sought to establish communication between scientific thought and practical effort. The goal of its founders was to foster, across disciplines, important questions in the realm of social sciences, and to promote the work of those whose research aimed to address important social problems. Today the AAPSS is headquartered at the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and aims to offer interdisciplinary perspectives on important social issues.

<i>Environmental Science & Technology</i> Academic journal

Environmental Science & Technology is a biweekly peer-reviewed scientific journal published since 1967 by the American Chemical Society. It covers research in environmental science and environmental technology, including environmental policy. Environmental Science & Technology has a sister journal, Environmental Science & Technology Letters, which publishes short communications.

The Meteorologische Zeitschrift is a bimonthly international peer-reviewed open access scientific journal covering research in meteorology and climatology. All papers published since 2000 are in English language. The journal was established in 1866 by the Österreichische Gesellschaft für Meteorologie and is one of the oldest journals in the field. In 1884 a similar journal was established by the Deutsche Meteorologische Gesellschaft. The two journals merged in 1886 and existed until 1944. After being published separately in East and West Germany after 1945, the journal was reestablished in 1992 as a joint publication of the Austrian, Swiss, and German Meteorological Societies and is published by Borntraeger Science Publishers.

The Journal of Phycology is a bimonthly peer-reviewed scientific journal of phycology, published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. on behalf of the Phycological Society of America. The journal was established in 1965 and published quarterly until 1992, when it changed to a bimonthly format.

It was established in 1937 as Soil Science Society of America Proceedings with J. D. Luckett as founding editor-in-chief. The journal obtained its current title in 1973. It is the flagship journal of the Soil Science Society of America and is published on their behalf by Wiley. As of 2013, the journal is only available online.
