    <span class="mw-page-title-main">Marcel Moreau</span> Belgian writer (1933–2020)

    Marcel Moreau was a Belgian writer. He was born in Boussu, a town in the mining region of Borinage in Hainaut Province, into a working-class environment. He described it as "a pure cultural void" with "a total absence of any cultural reference point". He lost his father at the age of 15, and abandoned his studies a short time later. He worked in various trades before becoming an accountant's assistant in Brussels for the newspaper Le Peuple. In 1955 he became a proof-reader for the daily Le Soir.

    Antoinette Fouque was a French psychoanalyst who was involved in the French women's liberation movement. She was the leader of one of the groups that originally formed the French Women's Liberation (MLF), and she later registered the trademark MLF specifically under her name. She helped found the publishing house Éditions des Femmes as well as the first collection of audio-books in France, "Bibliothèque des voix". Her position in feminist theory was primarily essentialist, and heavily based in psychoanalysis. She helped author Le Dictionnaire universel des créatrices (2013), a biographical dictionary about creative women.

    Delphine Gardey is a French historian and sociologist. She is a professor of contemporary history at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, and director of the Institute of Gender Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences. She is also affiliated with "Groupement De Recherche Européen" (GDRE) and "Marché du travail et genre en Europe" (MAGE).     Catherine Marry is a French sociologist. Her research concerns the sociology of education, the sociology of work and gender studies. She was awarded an Irène Joliot-Curie Prize in 2008 for her mentorship activities and is a research director emeritus at the French research center, CNRS.

    "L'Hymne du MLF", also known as "Debout les femmes", was written as the anthem of the Women's Liberation Movement (MLF) in France. It was created collectively in March 1971, during the second wave of French feminism, by militant feminist activists in Paris, during a meeting in preparation for a gathering on March 28, 1971, in the Square of Issy-les-Moulineaux, in memory and in honor of the women of the Paris Commune, marking its centennial.

    Gabrielle Petit, was a French feminist activist, anticlerical, libertarian socialist, and newspaper editor. Independent of any political party, she collaborated with trade unionists and Freethought activists. She founded the newspaper La Femme affranchie where she denounced prostitution. At conferences, she spoke about the emancipation of women, birth control, the evils of militarism, and support for workers' strikes.

    Michelle Zancarini-Fournel is a French historian. She is professor emeritus of contemporary history at the Claude Bernard University Lyon 1, and former co-director of the semi-annual journal, Clio. Femmes, genre, histoire. Her research focuses on the history of popular movements. She has published books and numerous articles in various journals. She is a specialist in the history of women and gender, as well as May 68.

    Éliane Gubin is a Belgian historian, researcher and professor of political and social history, specializing in the history of women and feminism. In the late 1980s, she initiated the introduction of women's history at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), where she is professor emerita. She also teaches the history of contemporary Belgium and specializes in social history and political history of the nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century, including a re-reading of the World War I. Since 1995, she has been co-director of the Centre d'archives pour l'histoire des femmes.

    Camille Froidevaux-Metterie is a French philosopher, researcher and professor of political science. Her work focuses on the transformations of the female condition in the contemporary era, in a phenomenological perspective that places the question of the body at the center of the reflection. Her work also focuses on women's reappropriation of their bodies as expressed in recent feminist movements dealing with issues related to intimacy and female genitality. In 2017, she was awarded the Chevalier de l'ordre national du Mérite.

    Nahema Hanafi is a French historian and a lecturer in modern and contemporary history at the University of Angers. She is interested in the history of epistolary practices and self-narratives, the history of medicine, women's place in history, and gender studies. She is co-editor of the journal Histoire, médecine et santé, and is the director of the master's degree in gender studies co-accredited by the University of Angers, University of Western Brittany, Le Mans University, University of Nantes, and Rennes 2 University. Hanafi is a Sigerist prize laureate.
