K Siva Reddy is a Telugu poet from India who won Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award [1] in Telugu, 1990 for his Poetry work Mohana-O-Mohana [2] and was bestowed upon with Saraswati Samman in 2018 for his poetry collection Pakkaki Ottigilite ( Turning aside while lying down ), an anthology of 104 poems in blank verse .

He was born on August 6, 1943 in Karmurivaripalem , Guntur district to Sri Venkata Subba Reddy and Smt. Thulasamma . He received school education in Kuchipudi and studied for PUC and degree in VSR degree college in Tenali. He got M.A.(English ) degree from Andhra University. [3]

Career

K. Siva Reddy retired principal of Vivek Vardhini College, Hyderabad and he taught English for thirty-five years there. He has translated African and European poems into Telugu.
