Kamen Ringu is an Indian politician from Arunachal Pradesh who resurrected PPA. He was the President of the Arunachal Congress, a regional political party in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. Currently he is associated with People's Party of Arunachal as chairman of the party. [1] [2] [3]

Bakin Pertin was an Indian politician. Pertin belonged to the Adi people. He was one of the first elected Lok Sabha members of Arunachal Pradesh, and later became a Member of the Legislative Assembly of that state.

The first elections to the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly were held in on 25 February 1978.

The second elections to the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly were held on 3 January 1980. The election was held simultaneously to the 1980 Lok Sabha election. 30 seats were up for election. A total of 95 candidates contested; 28 from the Indian National Congress (Indira), 28 from the People's Party of Arunachal, 11 from the Indian National Congress (Urs) and 28 independents. The PPA candidate in the Niausa Kanubari constituency, Wangnam Wangshu, was elected unopposed.

Jally Sonam is an Indian trade unionist and politician. As of 2014 he is the president of the All Arunachal Pradesh Workers Union. As of 2012 he served as working president of the Arunachal Pradesh branch of the Indian National Trade Union Congress and joint convenor of the North-East states for INTUC. Sonam served as chairman of the Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (APB&OCWWB). He was removed from this post by the Arunachal Pradesh state government on 27 January 2014, midst protests from AAPWU and INTUC. Two days later Sonam joined the People's Party of Arunachal (PPA). PPA fielded Sonam as its candidate for the Arunachal West seat in the 2014 Indian general election.

Jambey Tashi was an Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Arunachal Pradesh, serving as the MLA of 1-Lumla constituency. He was also a Member of National Minority Morcha, BJP. Tashi had previously been a member of the Indian National Congress and People's Party of Arunachal.

Eken Riba is a former Minister of State for Law, Justice & Cooperation of the Indian State of Arunachal Pradesh. He was elected to Basar Constituency in the year 1999–2004. He is also the first person to become a Lawyer from the state of Arunachal Pradesh. He is currently one of 4 State Information Commissioners for the Government of Arunachal Pradesh since January 2014. He is also a recipient of the prestigious Bharat Excellence Award. Though a Law graduate, most of his life has been in public field comprising General Secretary of his school, General Secretary of Students Union, Political Secretary and Minister of State spanning over half a decade. His first steps into public field was in 1966 when he was elected to the post of General Secretary for his School at Aalo when he was in class 10. The following year he was re-elected. Though a bright student all his life, he failed class 12 examination in 1969 due to over engagement into public field. He reappeared the following year and passed the examination. In 1971 he was elected for the post of General Secretary of NEFA Students Union. He was also chosen as the General Secretary for Jawaharlal Nehru College at Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh. In 1973 the NEFA Students Union ceased to exist and hence he was its last General Secretary. In 1973 he became the President of his college. He passed from JN College in 1973 with B.A. (hons). In 1974-75 he became the first President of the All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union or AAPSU. From 1975 to 1977 he studied at Delhi University (DU) Jubilee Hall and passed out in llb in Law. He practiced Law at Delhi for several months after which he went to Guwahati High Court to practice the same. He first propagated for the regional political party of Arunachal Pradesh, the People's Party of Arunachal or PPA. Later he joined the national party of India, the Congress Party. In 1999 he was elected to Basar Constituency and became the Minister of State for Law, Justice & Cooperation in the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. In 2009 he was appointed an Advisor to the Chief Minister of Arunachal, the late Dorjee Khandu. Since January 2014, he is one of 4 State Information Commissioners for the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.

Zingnu Namchoom is a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Arunachal Pradesh of Bhartiya Janta Party from 47 Namsai constituency in the Namsai, of Arunachal Pradesh.

The motive of the new political front was to protect the interest of the people of the region as well as uniting non-Congress parties in Northeast India. Wangki Lowang a politician from Bharatiya Janata Party is a Member of Legislative Assembly representing Namsang in the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly since 1999. He was member of Indian National Congress until December 2015. He was one of 21 MLAs who broke from Indian National Congress to join People's Party of Arunachal. He became Speaker of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly in February 2016. Alo Libang is his deputy.

Takam Pario Tagar is an Indian politician serving as the Leader of Opposition in Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. His real name is Takam Tagar but is affectionately called Pario. He won the 2009 elections on a PPA ticket to switch to Indian National Congress and won the 2014 elections on an Indian National Congress ticket and later switched to PPA to switch back to Congress again and is currently a member of Indian National Congress.

Starting April 2015, Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh underwent a political crisis. The Indian National Congress Chief Minister Nabam Tuki replaced Jarbom Gamlin as the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh on 1 November 2011 and continued till January 2016. After a political crisis in 2016, the President's rule was imposed ending his tenure as the chief minister. In February 2016, Kalikho Pul became the Chief Minister when 14 disqualified MLAs were reinstated by the Supreme Court. On 13 July 2016, the Supreme Court quashed the Arunachal Pradesh Governor J.P. Rajkhowa’s order to advance the Assembly session from 14 January 2016 to 16 December 2015, which resulted in President's rule in Arunachal Pradesh. As a result, Tuki restored as the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh on 13 July 2016. But hours before proving majority, he resigned as the Chief Minister on 16 July 2016. He was succeeded by Pema Khandu as the INC Chief Minister but later joined PPA in September 2016 along with majority MLAs. He further joined BJP in December 2016 along with majority MLAs.

Honchun Ngandam is an Indian politician and member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Ngandam was a member of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly from the Pongchau-Wakka constituency in Longding district. He is Minister of Rural Works Department in Pema Khandu government.

The third Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly election was held in 1984. Indian National Congress (INC) won 21 seats out of 30 seats, while the People's Party of Arunachal (PPA) won four seats and independent candidates won four seats. Gegong Apang was sworn in as Chief Minister.
