Jerry Yan, born Liao Yangzhen, is a Taiwanese actor, model and singer. A former member of boy band group F4, Yan is known for his lead role as Daoming Si in the Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden and its sequel.
Yida Huang is a Singaporean singer and songwriter. The capitalization of his birth name is Yida Huang, as the previous form of "YiDA" was used as a logo by Sony Music Taiwan. He has since stopped using the "YiDA" name form upon the end of his contract with the company. He has released four major albums with Sony Taiwan. His song "Chou Nan Ren" (Jerk) was the opening theme for the Taiwanese drama Devil Beside You. Another song of his, "Set Me Free", was the theme song for the Chinese version of the movie Stealth. He graduated from the Lee Wei Song School of Music.
Three Kingdoms is a 2010 Chinese television series based on the events in the late Eastern Han dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period. The plot is adapted from the 14th century historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms and other stories about the Three Kingdoms period. Directed by Gao Xixi, the series had a budget of over 160 million RMB and took five years of pre-production work. Shooting of the series commenced in October 2008, and it was released in China in May 2010.

The film is in Taiwanese and Mandarin with significant lines in Japanese. Before its commercial release, the film had its world premiere on 20 June 2008 at the 2008 Taipei Film Festival as the opening film. The film later won 3 awards at the festival.

Chen Kun-hou (陳坤厚) is a veteran cinematographer, who started his career in the 1960s. He won his first best cinematography award at Golden Horse Awards in 1978 for He Never Gives Up (汪洋中的一條船), directed by Lee Hsing (李行). In the early 1980s he began to direct his own films in collaboration with Hou Hsiao-hsien (侯孝賢). After series of urban comedies, he made quite a few representative films of the Taiwan New Cinema, such as Growing Up, which won him the best director award at the Golden Horse Awards, His Matramony, which won him the second best cinematography award at Golden Horse Awards, and My Favorite Season, and Osmanthus Alley. He is awarded for his life achievement in Taiwan cinema at the 60th Golden Horse Awards in 2023.

He is stylistically known for singing primarily in Taiwanese Hokkien, incorporating traditional styles and instruments into his music, as well as songs that represent the Taiwanese underclass.
