Kelly Sullivan is an American actress. She is known for her role as Kate Howard on the ABC daytime soap opera General Hospital , which she portrayed from September 2011 until August 2013, before reappearing briefly in October 2014. She also played Sage Warner on the CBS daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless from October 28, 2014, to June 22, 2016. She starred as Bonnie Hayes in the TLC drama series Too Close to Home .

Early life and education

Born in Puyallup, Washington, Sullivan graduated with honors from the University of Arizona.[ citation needed ]

Career

Sullivan played Kate Howard and eventually the character's alternate personality, Connie Falconeri, on the ABC daytime soap opera General Hospital from September 2011 until August 2013. [1] [2] She took over the role from actress Megan Ward, and in 2012 told MSN Entertainment, "recasting is never easy". [3]

From 2014 to 2016, Sullivan played Sage Warner on the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless . [4] In 2016, she was cast as Bonnie Hayes in the Tyler Perry drama series Too Close to Home on TLC. [5]

Theater

After graduating from the University of Arizona, Sullivan got her first Broadway show role in Contact at the Vivian Beaumont Theater in New York City; she also was featured in Bells Are Ringing and Young Frankenstein . [6]

Nelson continued in the role until 1999, when the character left; upon the character returning in 2000, head writer Kay Alden rehired Stafford. Kate Howard is a fictional character from the ABC Daytime soap opera General Hospital. The character was originated by actress Megan Ward, who portrayed the role from May 2007 to October 2010. In September 2011, the role was re-introduced with actress Kelly Sullivan. Connie is known for having two distinct alternate personalities – Connie, who later changed her name to Kate Howard, who established her career and who the character was initially introduced as, and an alternate personality also named Connie, who was based on her life back in Bensonhurst. Sullivan departed the role in August 2013, when the character was killed off, but made a one-off appearance in October 2014. Ward briefly returned for one episode in January 2018, and for another in December 2020.

Dylan McAvoy is a fictional character from The Young and the Restless, an American soap opera on the CBS network, portrayed by Steve Burton. Dylan first appeared on January 29, 2013. He is initially involved in a story arc involving Avery Bailey Clark, his former lover who believes he died during the war in Afghanistan. Avery is stunned by Dylan's return, but remains in a relationship with Nicholas Newman. Burton noted the extreme differences between Dylan and his General Hospital character Jason Morgan. The actor was able to have a new wardrobe and look. While Jason was confined and "Stone Cold", Dylan has been credited by Burton as allowing him to portray his lighter side in addition to more of his own personality. The character was later paired with Chelsea Lawson ; their short-lived romance and marriage received negative reviews from viewers and critics alike.
