Kevin W. Techau (born December 6,1958) is an American attorney who served as the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Iowa from 2014 to 2017. [1] [2]
Teachau served in the United States Air Force for seven years including two deployments to Germany as a judge advocate. Upon leaving active duty,he joined the Iowa Air National Guard and served with the 185th Fighter Wing in Sioux City,132nd Fighter Wing in Des Moines and the Iowa Air National Guard Joint Forces Headquarters at Camp Dodge. He retired as a colonel with 27 years of military service and he received the Legion of Merit.
McGuire AFB/McGuire,the common name of the McGuire unit of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst,is a United States Air Force base in Burlington County,New Jersey,United States,approximately 16.1 miles (25.9 km) south-southeast of Trenton. McGuire is under the jurisdiction of the Air Mobility Command. It was consolidated with two adjoining US Army and Navy facilities to become part of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst on 1 October 2009. The McGuire Air Force Base census-designated place (CDP) is located in portions of both New Hanover Township and North Hanover Township.

Marc Henrys Sasseville is a United States Air Force lieutenant general who currently serves as the 12th Vice Chief of the National Guard Bureau. He previously served as the commander of the Continental United States North American Aerospace Defense Command Region and concurrently as commander of the First Air Force from June 2019 to August 2020. Sasseville previously served as commander of the 113th Wing,District of Columbia Air National Guard at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland and was the first Hispanic American to hold the position. On September 11,2001,Sasseville was the acting operations group commander under the 113th Wing of the D.C. Air National Guard. He was one of four pilots given the mission of finding United Airlines Flight 93 during the September 11 attacks and destroying it,even if it meant ramming the aircraft. The tactic would be similar to the suicide military tactics known as Sonderkommando Elbe missions used by the military aviators from Nazi Germany in World War II. He also served as the Senior Defense Official/Defense Attache,Turkey,United States European Command,Ankara,Turkey. He assumed his current assignment in August 2020.

The 132nd Wing,sometimes written 132d Wing,is a United States Air Force unit assigned to the Iowa Air National Guard and located at Des Moines Air National Guard Base,Iowa. The 132nd's World War II predecessor unit,the 365th Fighter Group was a IX Fighter Command unit,serving in the European Theater of Operations. The 365th,known as the "Hell Hawks",was one of the most successful P-47 Thunderbolt fighter groups of the Ninth Air Force when it came to air combat. The 365th was awarded two Distinguished Unit Citations;Order of the Day,Belgium Army;Belgium Fourragère,and the Belgium Croix de Guerre. The 365th Fighter Group flew its last mission on 8 May 1945. After having operated manned fighter aircraft for all of its prior history,the wing was equipped with the MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial vehicle in 2013.

Some resignations were declined by Sessions or Trump. Media outlets described Sessions' move as abrupt and unexpected but not unprecedented. It is typical that when a new president enters office,many sitting U.S. Attorneys depart on their own initiative before their term in office has concluded,or they are asked to resign. The other 47 U.S. Attorney posts were either already vacant by the end of Barack Obama's administration or the incumbent U.S. Attorney had resigned at the beginning of Trump's administration.

A member of the Republican Party,he previously served as the Iowa State Representative for the 30th district from 2015 to 2019. Nunn is a candidate for Iowa's 3rd congressional district in 2022.
